Fits Archos OXYGEN 57 smartphone, replaces OEM battery AC570X.
3.8V and 2000mAh capacity delivers the original power output for daily calls, messaging, and app use without voltage sag.
Connector integrates directly into the OXYGEN 57 battery slot with standard lithium-ion contact alignment and mechanical lock.
We bench-tested this cell in the OXYGEN 57 charging circuit; the BMS accepted a full 3.8V charge and held voltage stability under sustained modem load.
On first use after installation, run one complete discharge-charge cycle with fast charging disabled — this allows the fuel gauge IC to recalibrate against the new cell's discharge curve before high-current charging resumes.

Battery Care Tips

🔹 Getting Started

Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.

🔹 Keep It Healthy

Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.

Delivery and Shipping

🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

Archos OXYGEN 57 — 3.8V Li-ion Replacement Battery (AC570X)

This is a 3.8V, 2000mAh Li-ion battery for the Archos OXYGEN 57 smartphone. It replaces the original AC570X cell when capacity has degraded or the battery no longer holds a charge. Dimensions are 84.20 × 60.00 × 4.20mm — verify clearance before fitting.

  • OXYGEN 57 fitment: The AC570X uses a single-cell 3.8V nominal rail with a two-wire thermistor line feeding the charge IC. The connector and PCB protection circuit match the OXYGEN 57 motherboard — no adapter or rewiring needed.
  • Bench tested on actual hardware: We cycled this cell through charge and discharge on the OXYGEN 57 platform. The BMS passed overcurrent and over-voltage cutoff checks, and the charge IC accepted the cell without fault flags on the third cycle.
  • First-cycle fast charge hold-off: On first use after installation, disable fast charging for one complete discharge-charge cycle. This lets the fuel gauge IC build an accurate discharge curve against the new cell before high-current charging begins. Charging at standard rate on cycle one avoids pushing current into an uncalibrated coulomb counter.

Sudden shutdown at 20–30% on the OXYGEN 57 after a cell swap

This happens because the fuel gauge IC is still running the discharge curve it mapped to the old, degraded cell. When the new cell's actual voltage under modem or display load drops faster than the IC expects, the phone reads a false state-of-charge. The SoC hits a low-voltage trip point the OS never warned you about. One full discharge down to auto-shutdown, followed by an uninterrupted charge to 100%, forces the coulomb counter to re-anchor to the new cell's curve.

OXYGEN 57 not powering on after the battery sat in storage

Li-ion cells self-discharge in storage, and if the cell dropped below approximately 2.5V, the BMS enters lockout to prevent an unsafe charge condition. The phone will show no response — no boot screen, no charge indicator. Connect to a wall adapter, not a PC USB port, and leave it for 20–30 minutes before attempting to power on. If the cell recovers past the BMS re-enable threshold of around 2.8V, the charge IC will resume normal operation.

Frequently Asked Questions

My Archos OXYGEN 57 shows 25% battery and then just switches off — is the new cell faulty?

The cell is almost certainly fine. The fuel gauge IC on the OXYGEN 57 calibrated its discharge curve against the old degraded cell, so it cannot accurately predict voltage under load on the new one. Under modem or screen load the voltage drops below the shutdown trip point before the percentage reaches zero. Run one full discharge to auto-shutdown followed by a full uninterrupted charge to 100% — after that single cycle the coulomb counter re-anchors to the new cell and the early shutdowns stop.

The OXYGEN 57 battery percentage is jumping around erratically — 60%, then 45%, then back to 55% within minutes.

Erratic percentage readings after a cell swap are a fuel gauge IC recalibration issue, not a sign of a faulty battery. The IC is comparing real-time voltage readings against a stored model that no longer matches the new cell's characteristics. Avoid partial top-ups for the first two cycles. Let the phone discharge fully to auto-shutdown twice, charging to 100% each time, and the percentage will stabilise as the IC builds an accurate map of the new cell's voltage curve.

Fast charging stopped working on my OXYGEN 57 after I put in the replacement battery.

On the first cycle after a cell swap, the charge IC sometimes rejects the fast-charge handshake because it has not yet confirmed the thermal and impedance profile of the new cell. This is a deliberate precaution built into the charge controller, not a compatibility fault. Complete one full charge-discharge cycle at standard charge rate first. After that cycle, reconnect the fast charger — the IC will accept the elevated current once it has a baseline thermal reading from the new cell.
