Fits BLU EZ2Go smartphone; replaces OEM part number N4U85T.
3.7V lithium-ion cell rated 1000mAh delivers stable voltage to the modem, screen, and radio during calls and standby without sag.
Connector slides into the battery slot with a single locking tab on the left edge; orientation marked on the device housing.
Bench testing showed the BMS accepted charge without fault codes; voltage held steady under load simulation across the full discharge curve.
On first use after installation, disable fast charging for one complete discharge-charge cycle — this lets the fuel gauge IC recalibrate against the new cell discharge curve before high-current charging pushes current into an uncalibrated cell.

Battery Care Tips

🔹 Getting Started

Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.

🔹 Keep It Healthy

Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.

Delivery and Shipping

🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

BLU EZ2Go — 3.7V Li-ion Replacement Battery (N4U85T)

This 3.7V lithium-ion cell replaces the N4U85T battery in the BLU EZ2Go smartphone. Capacity is 1000mAh (3.7Wh), matching the original specification. It fits the EZ2Go's battery bay and connects to the same board-side connector.

  • EZ2Go platform fit: The EZ2Go uses a single removable cell on a 3.7V rail with a straightforward connector and BMS handshake. This cell matches that rail voltage and connector pinout exactly — no adapter needed.
  • Bench tested on actual hardware: We ran charge and discharge cycles through the BMS. The protection circuit triggered correctly at low-voltage cutoff, and the charge IC accepted the cell without fault codes on the board.
  • Fuel gauge recalibration on first use: On first use after installation, disable fast charging for one complete discharge-charge cycle. This lets the fuel gauge IC recalibrate against the new cell's discharge curve before high-current charging pushes into an uncalibrated state.

Why the EZ2Go reports wrong battery percentage after a cell swap

The EZ2Go's fuel gauge IC builds its percentage model from the old cell's coulomb-counting history. When a new cell goes in, that stored curve no longer matches actual cell behaviour. The IC will report percentages that drift from reality — often reading higher or lower than the true state of charge. One full discharge to automatic shutoff, followed by an uninterrupted charge to 100%, forces the IC to rewrite its reference curve against the new cell.

Sudden shutdown at 20–30% on the EZ2Go after replacement

This happens when the fuel gauge IC hasn't yet recalibrated and the cell voltage drops sharply under modem or screen load — a voltage cliff the old curve didn't predict. The phone's protection circuit reads a legitimate undervoltage condition and cuts power before the displayed percentage reaches zero. It is not a faulty cell. Complete one full discharge-charge cycle without interruption, and the shutdowns will stop once the gauge IC maps the real discharge curve. If the issue persists after two full cycles, check that the battery connector is fully seated — an intermittent contact causes identical symptoms at the same voltage range.

Frequently Asked Questions

The BLU EZ2Go won't turn on at all after sitting in a drawer for months with the new battery installed — is the battery dead?

It isn't dead. When a Li-ion cell sits unused below approximately 2.5V, the BMS locks out to prevent damage, and the phone shows nothing when you press the power button. Connect the phone to a charger and leave it for at least 30 minutes without pressing anything — the charge IC needs to trickle current into the cell before the BMS releases its lockout. Once the screen shows the charging indicator, the BMS has cleared and normal charging resumes.

The battery percentage on my EZ2Go jumps erratically — showing 60%, then 45%, then back to 55% within minutes of unplugging.

The fuel gauge IC on the EZ2Go is recalibrating its coulomb counter against the new cell's discharge curve, and its estimates are unstable until that process completes. This is normal for the first few cycles after a cell swap. Run one full discharge — let the phone shut itself off — then charge to 100% without interrupting the cycle. After that single full cycle, the IC has enough data to stabilise its readings and the jumping stops.

Charging stops at around 80% on the EZ2Go and won't go higher — what's happening?

On the first cycle with a new cell, the charge IC sometimes applies a conservative top-up threshold because it hasn't confirmed the cell's internal resistance profile yet. This is not a fault. Let the phone charge uninterrupted from below 10% to the point where it stops, then leave it on the charger for an additional hour — the IC runs a saturation phase that pushes the cell to true full charge. If it still caps at 80% after two full cycles, reseat the battery connector and repeat; a high-resistance contact causes the IC to misread cell impedance and terminate charge early.
