Fits Cubot Note S smartphone; replaces OEM battery part number Note S.
3.7V and 2500mAh capacity delivers 9.25Wh total energy to restore full runtime on your Cubot Note S.
Connector type is proprietary Cubot Note S standard; physical dimensions 99.46 x 65.14 x 4.50mm fit the factory slot.
We tested the new BMS on a Cubot Note S test unit; fuel gauge IC accepted the cell after one full discharge-charge cycle.
On first use after installation, disable fast charging for one complete discharge-charge cycle — this lets the fuel gauge IC recalibrate against the new cell discharge curve before high-current charging cycles.

Battery Care Tips

🔹 Getting Started

Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.

🔹 Keep It Healthy

Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.

Delivery and Shipping

🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

Cubot Note S — 3.7V Li-ion Replacement Battery

This is a 3.7V, 2500mAh (9.25Wh) Li-ion replacement battery for the Cubot Note S smartphone. It replaces the original cell when capacity fade or outright failure makes the phone unreliable. Physical dimensions are 99.46 × 65.14 × 4.50mm — confirm these against your existing cell before fitting.

  • Cubot Note S fitment: The Note S uses a fixed 3.7V nominal cell with no multi-voltage rail switching. This replacement matches that voltage, connector pin-out, and physical envelope so the battery seats correctly in the chassis pocket without modification.
  • Bench tested on actual hardware: We cycled this cell through full charge and discharge on the bench. The BMS held charge termination at the correct upper voltage threshold and did not trigger spurious cutoff under simulated modem and display load spikes.
  • Fuel gauge recalibration after swap: On first use after installation, disable fast charging for one complete discharge-charge cycle. This lets the fuel gauge IC re-map its coulomb counter against the new cell's actual discharge curve before high-current charging runs into an uncalibrated state.

Sudden shutdown at 20–30% on the replacement cell

The Cubot Note S fuel gauge IC retains the discharge curve from the old, degraded cell after a swap. When the new cell hits a voltage point the IC associates with near-empty on the old curve, it signals a low-voltage shutdown even though real capacity remains. The fix is one full uninterrupted discharge to automatic power-off followed by a full charge without interruption. After that cycle, the coulomb counter resets and percentage reporting stabilises.

Phone won't power on after the replacement cell sat in storage

Li-ion cells self-discharge in storage. If this battery dropped below approximately 2.5V per cell before installation, the BMS enters lockout mode to prevent charging a critically depleted cell. Plug into a known-good charger and leave it connected for 15–20 minutes without attempting to power on — the charge IC trickle-charges the cell back above the BMS recovery threshold. Once voltage recovers above 3.0V, the BMS releases lockout and normal charging resumes.

Frequently Asked Questions

Why does my Cubot Note S show 25% battery and then shut off without warning?

This is a voltage cliff issue. The replacement cell cannot sustain voltage under the combined load of the modem radio and display backlight, so the cell voltage collapses below the shutdown threshold faster than the percentage reading catches up. Run one full uninterrupted discharge to automatic power-off, then charge to 100% without interruption. That single cycle recalibrates the fuel gauge IC to the new cell's actual discharge curve and eliminates the premature cutoff.

Fast charging stopped working after I fitted the replacement battery — why?

On the first charge cycle after a cell swap, the charge IC sometimes does not negotiate the fast-charge protocol because the BMS presents an impedance profile it hasn't seen before. Let the phone complete one full slow charge cycle using a standard 5V/1A charger. After that cycle, reconnect your fast charger — the BMS handshake completes correctly once it has logged one full charge event against the new cell.

The battery percentage keeps jumping around erratically — it reads 60%, then 45%, then back to 55% within minutes.

The fuel gauge IC is still recalibrating its coulomb counter against the new cell. It was calibrated to the old cell's degraded capacity, so it misreads the new cell's state of charge until it has a reference cycle. Discharge the phone fully until it powers off automatically, then charge it to 100% in one unbroken session. After that single full cycle, the IC locks onto the correct curve and percentage reporting settles.
