Battery Care Tips
Battery Care Tips
🔹 Getting Started
Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.
🔹 Keep It Healthy
Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.
Delivery and Shipping
Delivery and Shipping
🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

Elephone P7000 / Precious P7000 — 3.8V Li-ion Replacement Battery (P7000)
This is a 3.8V, 2200mAh Li-ion replacement battery for the Elephone P7000 and Precious P7000 smartphones. It slots into devices where the original cell has degraded, lost capacity, or stopped holding a charge. Dimensions are 79.25 × 63.94 × 5.06mm — confirm your existing cell matches before ordering.
- P7000 and Precious P7000 compatibility: Both variants use the same physical cell format, voltage rail, and connector pinout. The BMS on each device communicates with the cell over the same interface, so one replacement cell covers both models without modification.
- Bench tested on actual hardware: We cycled this cell through charge and discharge on the P7000 platform and confirmed BMS handshake, charge acceptance across all stages, and stable voltage delivery under screen-on and modem load.
- Fuel gauge recalibration on first use: After installing this cell, disable fast charging and run one complete discharge down to automatic shutdown, then charge to 100% uninterrupted. This gives the fuel gauge IC a full reference sweep against the new cell's discharge curve before any high-current charging pushes current into an uncalibrated state.
Sudden shutdown at 20–30% on the Elephone P7000 after a cell swap
This is a voltage cliff problem, not a capacity problem. Under modem transmission or screen-on load, the new cell's voltage drops faster than the fuel gauge IC predicts, because the IC is still using the discharge curve from the old degraded cell. When cell voltage dips below the BMS cutoff threshold — typically around 3.2V — the phone shuts off even though the percentage display still reads 20–30%. One full discharge-to-shutdown and uninterrupted charge cycle resets the coulomb counter and re-maps the gauge to the new cell.
Phone won't power on after the replacement cell sat in storage
Li-ion cells self-discharge during storage, and if a replacement cell drops below approximately 2.5V per cell, the BMS locks out to prevent damage — the phone will not power on at all. Connect the phone to a wall charger, not a USB port, and leave it for 20–30 minutes without pressing the power button. The charge IC needs time to trickle current into the locked-out cell and bring it above the BMS re-initialisation threshold, usually around 2.8–3.0V, before normal charging resumes.

Frequently Asked Questions
My Elephone P7000 shuts off at around 25% battery after fitting the new cell — is the battery faulty?
It is not faulty. The fuel gauge IC in the P7000 is still referencing the old cell's discharge curve, so it misjudges how quickly voltage drops under load. When the cell voltage hits the BMS cutoff — around 3.2V — the phone shuts down even though the display shows charge remaining. Run one full discharge to automatic shutdown, then charge to 100% without interruption, and the coulomb counter will remap to the new cell's actual curve.
Fast charging stopped working on my P7000 right after I put in the replacement battery — what happened?
The P7000's charge IC runs a handshake with the battery BMS before enabling high-current charging. On the first cycle with a new cell, the IC often falls back to standard charging until it has completed one full cycle and verified the BMS response is stable. Charge the phone once at standard rate to 100%, let it discharge naturally, then charge again — fast charging typically re-enables itself after that first reference cycle.
The battery percentage on my P7000 keeps jumping around erratically after the swap — sometimes it drops 10% in a few minutes, then barely moves for an hour.
Erratic percentage readings mean the fuel gauge IC is recalibrating against an unfamiliar cell. The IC uses a coulomb counter that was tuned to the original cell's internal resistance and discharge profile. Until it completes at least one full uninterrupted discharge-to-shutdown and a full charge to 100%, the percentage output will be unreliable. Avoid partial top-ups during that first cycle — let the phone reach automatic shutdown before plugging in.
