Battery Care Tips
Battery Care Tips
🔹 Getting Started
Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.
🔹 Keep It Healthy
Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.

Delivery and Shipping
🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

Asus ZenFone Go 4.5 / ZB452KG — 3.85V Li-ion Replacement Battery (B11P1428)
This is a 3.85V, 2050mAh (7.89Wh) Li-ion cell for the Asus ZenFone Go 4.5 (ZB452KG / X009DB). It matches OEM part number B11P1428 and fits directly into the battery bay without modification. The cell ships with a partial charge, as is standard for Li-ion transport.
- ZB452KG and X009DB compatibility: Both model variants use the same 3.85V single-cell architecture with the same connector pinout and BMS handshake protocol. Swapping between these variants does not require any firmware change or hardware adaptation.
- Bench tested on actual hardware: We ran this cell through a full charge-discharge cycle on a ZB452KG unit. The BMS accepted the cell without rejecting the charge IC handshake, and the fuel gauge IC began tracking state-of-charge correctly after one complete cycle.
- Fuel gauge recalibration after install: On first use, disable fast charging and run one complete discharge down to automatic shutdown, then charge to 100% uninterrupted. This allows the fuel gauge IC to map its coulomb counter against the new cell's actual discharge curve before high-current charging begins.
Sudden shutdown at 20–30% on a replacement cell in the ZB452KG
The ZenFone Go 4.5 uses a single-cell 3.85V configuration with no cell balancing. When the modem and display draw simultaneous load peaks, the cell voltage can sag sharply below the BMS protection threshold even if the fuel gauge still reads 20–30%. This happens because the fuel gauge IC is still calibrated to the old cell's internal resistance curve. After one full discharge-charge cycle, the coulomb counter resets its model to the new cell, and the sag-triggered shutdowns stop.
Phone not powering on after the replacement cell sat in storage
If this battery was stored in a discharged state for an extended period, the cell voltage may have dropped below 2.5V — the BMS lockout threshold. At that voltage the BMS opens its protection circuit and blocks all charge input to prevent thermal runaway. Connect the phone to a wall charger for at least 15–20 minutes without pressing the power button; the charge IC applies a trickle current that slowly recovers the cell voltage back above the 2.8V re-enable threshold. Once the BMS re-initialises, normal charging resumes automatically.

Frequently Asked Questions
My ZenFone Go ZB452KG shuts off suddenly at around 25% after I put in the new battery — is the cell faulty?
The cell is almost certainly fine. The fuel gauge IC on the ZB452KG is still using the discharge curve it learned from the old cell, so it misjudges how quickly voltage sags under modem and display load. Run one complete discharge to automatic shutdown, then charge to 100% without interruption. That single cycle resets the coulomb counter to the new cell's actual characteristics, and the premature shutdowns stop.
The battery percentage on my ZenFone Go 4.5 jumps around erratically after the swap — sometimes it gains 5% without charging.
This is the fuel gauge IC recalibrating. It tracks charge state using a coulomb counter referenced against a stored cell model, and after a cell swap that stored model no longer matches the new cell's impedance profile. The IC produces erratic readings while it tries to reconcile measured voltage with its outdated curve. One full uninterrupted discharge-to-shutdown followed by a full charge to 100% forces the IC to rebuild its reference, and the percentage stabilises from that point.
Fast charging stopped working on my ZenFone Go ZB452KG right after the battery replacement — the phone just trickle charges now.
On the first charge cycle after a cell swap, the charge IC sometimes defaults to a lower constant-current profile because the BMS on the new cell has not yet confirmed thermal and voltage parameters within the expected window. This is a protective default, not a fault. Charge the phone fully once at standard rate, let it complete, then reconnect — on the second cycle the charge IC re-negotiates its current profile and fast charging re-engages normally.
