Battery Care Tips
Battery Care Tips
🔹 Getting Started
Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.
🔹 Keep It Healthy
Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.
Delivery and Shipping
Delivery and Shipping
🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

G-SHOT G512 / G515 — 3.7V Li-ion Replacement Battery (BLI-248)
This is a 3.7V, 1000mAh Li-ion replacement battery for the G-SHOT G512 and G515 smartphones. It replaces OEM part BLI-248 and fits the physical cell bay on both models. Capacity is 1000mAh (3.7Wh) — matching the stock specification.
- G512 and G515 compatibility: Both models share the same battery bay dimensions, connector pinout, and BMS handshake protocol — that is why one cell covers both. The 52.95 × 33.07 × 8.01mm footprint seats flush in either chassis without modification.
- Bench tested on actual hardware: We cycled this cell through charge, load, and cutoff on the bench. The BMS triggered low-voltage cutoff at the correct threshold and accepted a standard charge current without error flags on the charge IC.
- Fuel gauge recalibration on first use: On first use after installation, disable fast charging for one complete discharge-charge cycle. This lets the fuel gauge IC map the new cell's discharge curve before high-current charging pushes into an uncalibrated state — preventing erratic percentage readings from the first charge onward.
Why the G512 reports wrong battery percentage after a cell swap
The G512 uses a fuel gauge IC that tracks charge state via a coulomb counter calibrated against the original cell's discharge curve. Swap the cell and the IC is now measuring a new curve against old reference data. The percentage display drifts — often reading 40% when the cell is closer to 15%. One full discharge to automatic power-off, followed by a complete charge to 100% without interruption, forces the IC to rewrite its reference curve against the new cell. After that cycle, percentage readings stabilise.
Sudden shutdown at 20–30% remaining on the replacement cell
This happens when the modem or display triggers a current spike the cell cannot sustain at that state of charge — voltage drops below the BMS cutoff threshold even though the gauge still shows capacity remaining. It is a voltage-cliff issue, not a capacity defect. A full recalibration cycle resets the coulomb counter so the OS knows where the real cutoff voltage sits. If shutdowns persist after one full cycle, check that the cell connector is fully seated — a partial connection raises internal resistance and pulls the voltage cliff higher.

Frequently Asked Questions
My G512 powered off during a call with the new battery showing 25% — is the cell faulty?
Most likely not a faulty cell. Under modem load during a call, current draw spikes and the cell voltage drops sharply — if the BMS cutoff threshold is hit, the phone shuts off even though the fuel gauge still shows remaining capacity. This is a voltage-cliff behaviour common after a cell swap before the fuel gauge IC has recalibrated. Run one full discharge to automatic power-off, then charge uninterrupted to 100%, and the IC will remap the cutoff point correctly.
The battery percentage on my G515 is jumping around erratically after fitting this cell — what is happening?
The fuel gauge IC is still running its coulomb counter against the old cell's reference data. With a new cell installed, the mismatch causes the percentage to skip or drift until the IC collects enough cycle data to recalibrate. Do one complete discharge to automatic power-off followed by a full uninterrupted charge to 100% — this gives the coulomb counter a clean reference cycle. After that, readings should track steadily.
The G512 will not power on after the replacement battery sat unused in the phone for a few weeks — how do I recover it?
A cell that has self-discharged below approximately 2.5V will trigger BMS lockout — the protection circuit cuts output to prevent cell damage, so the phone appears completely dead. Connect the phone to a wall charger and leave it for 15–20 minutes without pressing any buttons; the charge IC needs to trickle current into the cell to bring it above the BMS re-enable threshold before the phone will respond. If there is no charging indicator after 20 minutes, try a different cable and charger — the charge IC will not handshake correctly on a low-current USB port when recovering from deep discharge.
