Fits Leagoo Elite Y smartphone; replaces OEM battery part number BT-S508.
3.8V and 2300mAh capacity restores full power draw for display, modem, and processor without throttling.
Connector slides straight into the battery slot with a single locking tab; orientation is marked on the cell.
We bench-tested this cell on a Leagoo Elite Y charge circuit; the BMS accepted the pack on first insertion with no fault codes.
On first use after installation, disable fast charging for one complete discharge-charge cycle so the fuel gauge IC recalibrates against the new cell's discharge curve.

Battery Care Tips

🔹 Getting Started

Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.

🔹 Keep It Healthy

Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.

Delivery and Shipping

🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

Leagoo Elite Y — 3.8V Li-ion Replacement Battery (BT-S508)

This is a 3.8V, 2300mAh Li-ion cell built to replace the original BT-S508 battery in the Leagoo Elite Y smartphone. It fits the Elite Y directly and matches the original voltage and connector spec. Capacity is rated at 8.74Wh.

  • Elite Y compatibility: The Elite Y uses a fixed 3.8V single-cell Li-ion architecture. This replacement matches that voltage rail and the original BMS handshake requirements so the phone's charge IC recognises the cell on first boot.
  • Bench tested on actual hardware: We cycled this cell through full charge and discharge sequences and monitored the BMS cutoff behaviour at both the high-voltage ceiling and the low-voltage floor. Cutoff triggers held within spec at both ends.
  • Fuel gauge recalibration on first use: On first use after installation, disable fast charging for one complete discharge-charge cycle. This lets the fuel gauge IC map the new cell's discharge curve before high-current charging is applied to an uncalibrated cell.

Sudden shutdown at 20–30% on the replacement cell

This happens when the fuel gauge IC is still calibrated to the old cell's discharge curve. The new cell has a steeper voltage drop under modem and screen load than the degraded original. The phone reads 25% on the old curve but the actual cell voltage has already crossed the BMS cutoff threshold. One full discharge-charge cycle with fast charging disabled forces the coulomb counter to reset against the real curve and eliminates the false-floor shutdown.

Device won't power on after sitting in storage at low charge

Li-ion cells stored below roughly 2.5V trigger a BMS lockout to prevent damage from over-discharge. The phone will show no response to the power button. Connect the phone to a wall charger — not a PC USB port — and leave it for 15–20 minutes without pressing anything. The charge IC trickle-charges the cell back above the BMS re-enable threshold, after which normal boot resumes. If the screen stays dark past 30 minutes on the charger, check the charging cable and adapter output voltage first.

Frequently Asked Questions

My Leagoo Elite Y shuts off suddenly at around 25% battery — why does this happen with a new cell?

The fuel gauge IC in the Elite Y was calibrated to the old cell's discharge curve, which had different voltage sag characteristics under load. The new BT-S508 cell drops voltage faster under modem and display load, so the real cell voltage hits the BMS cutoff while the OS still reads 20–30% remaining. Run one full discharge down to automatic shutdown, then charge to 100% with fast charging disabled — this resets the coulomb counter against the new cell's actual curve.

The USB fast charge isn't working on the Elite Y after I installed the replacement battery — is something wrong?

Fast charge protocols often require the BMS to complete a handshake with the charge IC before high-current charging is accepted. On the first cycle with a new cell, the charge IC may fall back to standard 5V charging until the BMS registers a completed cycle. Charge the phone once at standard speed to full, then discharge and recharge — fast charge typically re-enables on the second cycle once the BMS has confirmed cell parameters.

The battery percentage on my Elite Y jumps around erratically after fitting the new cell — is the battery faulty?

The percentage jumping is the fuel gauge IC recalibrating, not a fault in the cell itself. The IC uses stored data from the old degraded cell to estimate charge state, and the new cell's voltage curve doesn't match that stored profile. The readings stabilise after one or two full discharge-charge cycles as the coulomb counter builds an accurate model of the new cell. Complete the calibration cycle with screen brightness at mid-level and mobile data active so the load profile reflects normal use.
