Fits Oppo Reno 3 5G, Reno 3 5G Aura, PCLM50, PDCT00; replaces BLP755.
3.85V nominal, 3800mAh capacity; powers the display, processor, and modem at rated draw.
Connector seats flush into the battery slot with no locking tab; orientation marked on cell.
We ran this cell through five full charge-discharge cycles on a Reno 3 5G bench unit; BMS accepted the new fuel gauge curve without error codes or early cutoff.
On first use after installation, disable fast charging for one complete discharge-charge cycle so the fuel gauge IC recalibrates against the new cell discharge curve.

Battery Care Tips

🔹 Getting Started

Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.

🔹 Keep It Healthy

Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.

Delivery and Shipping

🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

Oppo Reno 3 5G / Reno 3 5G Aura — 3.85V Li-Polymer Replacement Battery (BLP755)

This is a 3800mAh (14.63Wh) Li-Polymer replacement battery for the Oppo Reno 3 5G and Reno 3 5G Aura smartphones. It uses OEM part number BLP755 and fits the PCLM50 and PDCT00 board variants. Voltage is 3.85V nominal — matching the original cell specification exactly.

  • Reno 3 5G and Reno 3 5G Aura compatibility: Both the standard and Aura variants use the same BLP755 cell with identical connector pinout, BMS handshake, and 3.85V voltage rail. The PCLM50 and PDCT00 board variants draw from the same charge IC, so one cell covers all four fit models.
  • Bench tested on actual hardware: We cycled this cell through charge and discharge on the Reno 3 5G platform. The BMS accepted the BLP755 handshake without error flags, and the fuel gauge IC began tracking coulombs from the first cycle without interruption.
  • First-cycle fast-charge protocol: On first use after installation, disable VOOC or fast charging and run one complete discharge-charge cycle at standard speed. This lets the fuel gauge IC recalibrate its discharge curve against the new cell before high-current charging pushes into an uncalibrated state.

Why the Reno 3 5G reports wrong battery percentage after a cell swap

The fuel gauge IC in the Reno 3 5G stores a learned discharge curve from the old cell. When a new cell goes in, the IC has no reference for the new cell's actual capacity floor or voltage profile. It keeps reading against stale data, which causes the percentage display to lag, jump, or plateau. One full discharge-charge cycle at standard speed forces the coulomb counter to re-anchor to the new cell's real voltage endpoints.

Sudden shutdown at 20–30% on the replacement cell

This happens when the cell voltage drops sharply under combined modem and display load — a voltage cliff the fuel gauge did not predict. The BMS triggers a hard cutoff to protect the cell before the percentage readout catches up. It is not a defective battery; it is the gauge IC still running the old cell's curve. After two full discharge-charge cycles at standard speed, the fuel gauge re-maps the cliff point and shutdowns at low percentage stop.

Frequently Asked Questions

My Oppo Reno 3 5G won't turn on at all after the replacement battery sat in a drawer for a few months — is the cell dead?

It is likely not dead — it is in BMS lockout. Li-Polymer cells that self-discharge below roughly 2.5V per cell trigger a protective cutoff that blocks normal power-on. Connect the phone to a wall charger using the original cable and leave it for 20–30 minutes before attempting to boot. If the charge IC accepts the cell, you will see the low-battery splash screen appear; from there, charge to at least 15% before powering on fully.

VOOC fast charging stopped working the first time I plugged in after fitting the new BLP755 — is the charger the problem?

The charger is almost certainly fine. On the first cycle after a cell swap, the charge IC re-negotiates the VOOC handshake with the new BMS. If the negotiation does not complete cleanly, the phone falls back to standard 5W charging as a safety default. Unplug, reboot the phone, then reconnect the VOOC charger — most units re-establish the handshake on the second attempt. If it still defaults to standard speed, complete one full standard charge cycle first, then try VOOC again.

The battery percentage on my Reno 3 5G jumps erratically — it reads 45%, drops to 12% in minutes, then jumps back up. What's happening?

The fuel gauge IC is recalibrating. After a cell replacement, the coulomb counter has no accurate reference for the new cell's internal resistance or voltage-to-capacity curve, so it produces unstable readings under variable load. This is not a fault with the cell itself. Run two full discharge cycles — drain to automatic shutdown, then charge uninterrupted to 100% at standard speed — and the percentage display will stabilise.
