Fits Orbic R678L5, R678EL, Myra 5G, Magic 5G smartphones; replaces OEM battery part number BTE-5001.
Voltage 3.85V, capacity 4000mAh — standard output for this device's processor, modem, and display load.
Connector type micro-pin, orientation fixed by slot design, no locking tab — seats flush against device frame.
We bench-tested this cell against OEM discharge curves; BMS accepted charge protocol on cycle one without fault codes.
On first use after installation, disable fast charging for one complete discharge-charge cycle to let the fuel gauge IC recalibrate against this cell's discharge curve.

Battery Care Tips

🔹 Getting Started

Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.

🔹 Keep It Healthy

Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.

Delivery and Shipping

🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

Orbic R678L5 / Myra 5G / Magic 5G — 3.85V Li-Polymer Replacement Battery (BTE-5001)

This is a 3.85V, 4000mAh lithium-polymer cell for the Orbic R678L5, R678EL, Myra 5G, and Magic 5G smartphones. It replaces OEM part BTE-5001 and restores power to all core phone functions. Dimensions are 90.50 × 67.50 × 3.90mm — confirm these against your original cell before installing.

  • R678L5, R678EL, Myra 5G, Magic 5G compatibility: These four Orbic models share the same battery footprint, connector pinout, and BMS handshake protocol, which is why a single BTE-5001 cell covers all of them.
  • Bench tested on actual hardware: We cycled this cell through full charge and discharge on the R678L5 platform. The BMS accepted the charge profile without fault flags, and voltage held steady under simultaneous screen and modem load.
  • Fuel gauge recalibration on first use: On first use after installation, disable fast charging and run one complete discharge-to-charge cycle. This lets the fuel gauge IC map the new cell's discharge curve before high-current charging pushes into an uncalibrated state.

Sudden shutdown at 20–30% on the Orbic R678L5

This is a voltage cliff problem, not a capacity problem. Li-polymer cells have a steep voltage drop near the end of their discharge curve. When the modem fires a transmission burst or the screen peaks in brightness, the cell voltage dips sharply below the BMS cutoff threshold — even though the OS still shows 20–30% remaining. The fuel gauge IC was calibrated to the old cell's curve and misjudges the remaining charge. One full discharge cycle from 100% to auto-shutoff, followed by a full charge to 100%, recalibrates the coulomb counter against the new cell.

Phone won't power on after sitting in storage with a flat battery

If the replacement cell or the original cell discharged below approximately 2.5V during storage, the BMS enters a lockout state to protect the cell from damage. The phone will show no response to the power button and may not display a charging indicator immediately. Connect the phone to a wired charger — not a wireless pad — and leave it for 15–20 minutes before attempting to power on. The charge IC trickle-charges the cell back above the BMS recovery threshold, typically 2.9V, at which point the BMS re-initialises and normal charging resumes.

Frequently Asked Questions

My Orbic R678L5 keeps shutting off around 25% battery — is the new cell faulty?

Almost certainly not a faulty cell. This is a voltage cliff issue: the lithium-polymer cell drops voltage sharply under modem or display load near the end of its curve, triggering the BMS cutoff before the fuel gauge reaches zero. The fuel gauge IC is still calibrated to the old cell's discharge curve. Run one full cycle — drain to auto-shutoff, then charge uninterrupted to 100% — and the coulomb counter will remap to the new cell's curve.

The battery percentage on my Orbic is jumping around erratically after I put in the new cell — what's happening?

The fuel gauge IC on the R678L5 stores a learned discharge model for the previous cell. When a new cell goes in, the IC has no accurate reference and estimates charge state against stale data, which causes the percentage to jump. This settles after one or two complete discharge-charge cycles as the coulomb counter accumulates real data from the new cell. Do not top up frequently during this period — let the phone run down fully each time until the gauge stabilises.

Fast charging stopped working after I replaced the battery on my Orbic R678L5 — how do I get it back?

On the first cycle after a cell swap, the charge IC sometimes refuses to handshake with the USB-PD or proprietary fast-charge protocol because it defaults to a conservative trickle rate when it detects an uncalibrated BMS. Charge the phone once using a standard 5V charger to full capacity, then switch back to your fast charger. After that initial baseline cycle, the charge IC accepts the higher current profile and fast charging resumes at the correct rate.
