Fits Panasonic G50 and G51 smartphones; replaces OEM part EB-BSG50S.
3.7V, 700mAh cell restores full charge capacity on aged or failed original batteries.
Connector seats flat into the battery slot; verify contact pins align before closing cover.
We bench-tested this cell on a G50 motherboard — BMS accepted the charge handshake and voltage held steady under standby draw.
On first use after installation, disable fast charging for one complete discharge-charge cycle so the fuel gauge IC recalibrates against the new cell discharge curve.

Battery Care Tips

🔹 Getting Started

Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.

🔹 Keep It Healthy

Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.

Delivery and Shipping

🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

Panasonic G50 / G51 — 3.7V Li-ion Replacement Battery (EB-BSG50S)

This is a 3.7V, 700mAh Li-ion replacement cell for the Panasonic G50 and G51 smartphones. It matches the OEM part number EB-BSG50S and installs directly into either handset. Use this when the original cell no longer holds a charge or causes unexpected shutdowns.

  • G50 and G51 compatibility: Both models run the same battery bay geometry, connector pinout, and BMS handshake protocol — one cell covers both. No adapter or modification needed.
  • Bench tested on actual hardware: We cycled this cell through charge and discharge on a G50 unit. The BMS accepted the cell without fault codes, and the charge IC reached full termination voltage correctly at 4.2V.
  • Fuel gauge recalibration on first install: After fitting this cell, disable fast charging and run one full discharge-to-charge cycle before normal use. This lets the coulomb counter recalibrate its discharge curve against the new cell — without it, the OS percentage reading will lag or jump until the IC builds an accurate baseline.

Sudden shutdown at 20–30% on the G50 after a cell swap

This is a voltage cliff issue, not a defective cell. The fuel gauge IC on the G50 was calibrated to the discharge curve of the original aged cell, which sagged more gradually. A fresh 700mAh cell holds a steeper voltage profile — the IC misreads remaining capacity and the modem or screen load pulls the cell voltage below the BMS cutoff threshold before the OS reaches 0%. One full discharge-to-charge cycle without fast charging resets the coulomb counter and eliminates the premature cutoff.

G50 not powering on after the replacement battery sat in storage

Li-ion cells self-discharge during storage. If a cell drops below approximately 2.5V, the BMS enters lockout mode and the phone will not respond to the power button or a normal charger. Connect the phone to a wall charger — not a PC USB port — and leave it for 15–20 minutes without pressing anything. The charge IC will trickle current into the cell at a safe rate until voltage clears the BMS recovery threshold, typically around 2.9–3.0V, after which normal charging resumes.

Frequently Asked Questions

My Panasonic G50 shows 25% battery and then just switches off — is the replacement cell faulty?

The cell itself is not the problem. The G50's fuel gauge IC stores a discharge curve calibrated to the old cell, and a fresh 700mAh cell has a different voltage profile under load. When the modem or display draws current, the cell voltage dips below the BMS cutoff before the OS counter reaches zero. Run one complete discharge cycle — from 100% down to automatic shutdown — then charge fully without fast charging enabled. That single cycle resets the coulomb counter and stops the premature cutoff.

The battery percentage on my G50 keeps jumping around erratically after I fitted the new cell — is something wrong with the phone?

Nothing is wrong with the phone. The fuel gauge IC is recalibrating against the new cell's discharge curve, and until it has enough cycle data it estimates capacity with low confidence. The percentage will stabilise after one or two full discharge-charge cycles. Keep fast charging off during those first cycles so the IC tracks the current flow accurately — high charge rates during recalibration can push the error further before it corrects.

My G50 won't power on at all after I installed the replacement battery — it just shows nothing on screen.

If the replacement cell discharged deeply during storage, the BMS may have entered lockout below 2.5V per cell, which blocks the phone from booting. Plug the handset into a wall charger and leave it untouched for at least 15 minutes — a PC USB port may not supply enough current to trigger recovery. The charge IC will trickle charge the cell until it crosses the recovery threshold near 3.0V, after which the screen should show a charging indicator and normal startup will proceed.
