Battery Care Tips
Battery Care Tips
🔹 Getting Started
Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.
🔹 Keep It Healthy
Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.

Delivery and Shipping
🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

Panasonic MX6 / SA6 Series — 3.7V Li-ion Replacement Battery (EB-BS002)
This is a 3.7V, 1000mAh Li-ion cell built to the EB-BS002 specification. It fits the Panasonic MX6, MX7, SA6, and SA7 smartphones. Swap it in when the original cell can no longer hold a usable charge through a normal day.
- MX6, MX7, SA6, SA7 fit group: These four models share the same battery bay dimensions, connector pinout, and BMS handshake protocol — all four accept the EB-BS002 cell without modification.
- Bench tested on actual hardware: We cycled this cell through charge and discharge on the MX6 platform. The BMS accepted the cell, reported voltage correctly, and thermal cutoff behaved within normal parameters at full charge.
- First-cycle fuel gauge reset: After fitting this cell, run one full discharge to automatic shutdown, then charge uninterrupted to 100% before resuming normal use. This lets the fuel gauge IC map its coulomb counter to the new cell's discharge curve — skip this and the percentage display will drift.
Sudden shutdown at 20–30% on the MX6 after a cell swap
A new cell has a slightly different internal resistance profile than the worn cell the phone was calibrated against. Under modem transmit or screen-on load, the phone pulls current that drops the cell voltage below the BMS cutoff threshold — even though the fuel gauge still shows 20–30%. The BMS interprets that voltage sag as a dead cell and cuts power instantly. One full discharge-charge cycle recalibrates the coulomb counter and eliminates the premature shutdown. After calibration, the gauge and the actual cell voltage track together under load.
Phone stays warm near the battery during the first few charges
A fresh cell starts with higher internal impedance than a broken-in one. The charge IC pushes current into a cell that resists it more than expected, and that resistance converts some charge energy to heat. This is normal for the first two to three cycles and fades as impedance drops with use. If warmth continues past the third full charge, check that the back cover is seated correctly — trapped heat with no airflow path will sustain elevated temperatures even after the cell breaks in.

Frequently Asked Questions
My Panasonic MX6 shows 25% battery and then just dies — no warning at all. Is the new cell faulty?
The cell is almost certainly fine. The fuel gauge IC on the MX6 is still using the discharge curve it mapped to your old, degraded cell — the new cell's voltage drops below the BMS cutoff threshold under modem or display load before the gauge catches up. Run one full uninterrupted discharge to automatic shutdown, then charge straight to 100% without interruption. After that single calibration cycle, the premature shutdowns stop.
The battery percentage on my MX6 is jumping around — it reads 60%, then suddenly 45%, then back to 55% within a few minutes.
This is the fuel gauge IC recalibrating its coulomb counter against the new cell. The old calibration data stored in the phone no longer matches the new cell's actual charge curve, so the reported percentage swings while the IC tries to reconcile measured voltage with expected state-of-charge. Complete two full discharge-to-shutdown and uninterrupted-charge-to-100% cycles. After the second cycle the counter locks onto the new curve and the percentage readout stabilises.
Fast charging stopped working after I replaced the battery on my SA6 — it just charges slowly now.
On the first cycle with a new cell, the charge IC sometimes defaults to standard CC/CV charging rather than the higher-current fast charge profile. This happens because the BMS presents slightly different impedance characteristics on a fresh cell, and the IC steps back to a conservative rate until it confirms the cell is stable. Charge the phone fully once at the slow rate, then disconnect and reconnect the charger — the fast charge protocol should re-negotiate. If it does not, confirm the charger output matches the SA6's rated input voltage, typically 5V/2A.
