Battery Care Tips
Battery Care Tips
🔹 Getting Started
Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.
🔹 Keep It Healthy
Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.
Delivery and Shipping
Delivery and Shipping
🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

Sharp 550SH / GX-E30 Series — 3.7V Li-ion Replacement Battery (XN-1BT30)
This is a 3.7V, 950mAh Li-ion replacement battery for the Sharp 550SH, GX-E30, GX-F200, GX-L15, and compatible models. It replaces OEM parts XN-1BT30 and CE-BL150. Fit this when the original cell shows capacity fade, fails to hold a charge, or the phone shuts down unexpectedly under load.
- Multi-model fit — 550SH and GX series: These models share the same battery bay dimensions, connector pinout, and BMS handshake voltage. The 59.80 × 35.63 × 4.50mm cell slots into all listed variants without modification.
- Bench tested on actual hardware: We cycled this cell through charge and discharge on compatible hardware. The BMS responded correctly to charge termination, held steady at 3.7V nominal, and showed no thermal irregularities during the constant-current phase.
- Fuel gauge recalibration on first use: On first installation, disable fast charging and run one full discharge-to-charge cycle. This lets the phone's fuel gauge IC map its coulomb counter to the new cell's actual discharge curve before high-current charging begins on an uncalibrated cell.
Why the 550SH reports wrong battery percentage after a cell swap
The fuel gauge IC in the 550SH stores a discharge curve calibrated to the original cell. When you fit a new cell, the IC does not automatically reset — it continues using the old curve. This causes the percentage to appear stuck, jump suddenly, or read 100% when the cell is not fully charged. One complete slow discharge followed by a full charge cycle forces the IC to relearn the new cell's voltage-to-capacity relationship.
Sudden shutdown at 20–30% on a freshly installed cell
This happens when the fuel gauge IC has not yet recalibrated and the phone hits a voltage cliff under screen or modem load. The cell voltage drops sharply below the protection threshold — typically around 3.0V — before the percentage display catches up. The phone cuts out to protect the cell, even though the displayed percentage looks safe. Run one full uninterrupted discharge cycle to recalibrate, and check that the cutoff voltage stabilises at 3.0V or above during normal use.

Frequently Asked Questions
My Sharp 550SH won't turn on at all after the replacement battery sat in a drawer for months — is the cell dead?
It is likely in BMS lockout. When a Li-ion cell drops below approximately 2.5V during storage, the protection circuit disconnects the cell to prevent damage. Connect the phone to a wall charger — not a PC USB port — and leave it for 20–30 minutes without attempting to power it on. The charge IC needs to push a small trickle current into the cell before the BMS will re-enable the output rail. If the phone does not respond after 40 minutes on a wall charger, check that the charger is delivering at least 5V with a multimeter at the cable tip.
The percentage on my 550SH jumps around — it shows 60%, drops to 30% in seconds, then climbs back up. What's happening?
The fuel gauge IC is recalibrating against the new cell's discharge curve and getting inconsistent readings. This is normal for the first two or three cycles after a cell swap. Do not interrupt the phone mid-cycle — let it discharge to auto-shutdown, then charge fully to 100% without unplugging early. After two complete cycles, the coulomb counter should stabilise and the percentage jumps will stop.
The 550SH feels warm near the battery compartment while charging on the new cell — should I be concerned?
Mild warmth on the first few charge cycles is expected. A new cell has slightly higher internal impedance than a conditioned cell, so the charge IC dissipates more heat during the constant-current phase. If the phone becomes hot to the touch or the charging indicator cuts off before 100%, remove the phone from the charger and let it cool for 10 minutes before resuming. Warmth that persists beyond the third full charge cycle, or that appears during standby with no active charging, points to a charge IC fault on the phone's board rather than the cell itself.
