Battery Care Tips
Battery Care Tips
🔹 Getting Started
Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.
🔹 Keep It Healthy
Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.

Delivery and Shipping
🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

Sonstige Equinux tizi Mobile TV — 3.7V Li-ion Replacement Battery
This 3.7V, 1000mAh Li-ion cell replaces the original battery in the Equinux tizi Mobile TV, a compact handheld digital television receiver. It fits directly into the tizi chassis and restores power to the device when the original cell can no longer hold charge. Dimensions are 53.00 x 33.90 x 5.70mm — verify against your existing cell before installing.
- Equinux tizi Mobile TV fitment: The tizi runs a single-cell 3.7V Li-ion pack tied directly to the receiver board's power rail. This cell matches that voltage rail and physical footprint, so the board sees the same nominal supply it expects.
- Bench tested on actual hardware: We cycled this cell through full charge and discharge passes and confirmed the BMS trips correctly at both the high and low voltage cutoffs — no runaway charge, no hard undervoltage lockout under normal draw.
- Fuel gauge recalibration after swap: After installing a new cell, run one complete discharge down to the device's auto-shutoff, then charge uninterrupted to 100%. This lets the fuel gauge IC map its charge curve against the new cell rather than the degraded profile it stored from the old one.
Why the tizi shuts down suddenly before the battery reads empty
The tizi receiver draws a burst of current whenever the tuner locks onto a signal or refreshes the display. An aged cell cannot sustain voltage under that brief load spike, so voltage drops sharply and the protection circuit cuts power — even when the charge indicator still shows 20–30%. A new cell with intact capacity handles the same current demand without the voltage cliff. After fitting this replacement, run one full discharge-charge cycle so the fuel gauge recalibrates and the shutdown threshold aligns to the new cell's actual discharge curve.
Battery percentage jumping or freezing after cell replacement
The tizi's fuel gauge IC stores a discharge model calibrated to the original cell's internal resistance and capacity. Swapping to a new cell immediately creates a mismatch — the gauge feeds the display a number based on the old profile, so readings jump, freeze, or read 100% long after the cell is partially drained. This is not a fault with the replacement cell. Force a full recalibration: discharge the device completely until it powers off on its own, then charge straight to 100% without interrupting. After that single cycle, the gauge reads against the correct curve and percentage reports stabilise.

Frequently Asked Questions
The tizi won't turn on at all after sitting unused for months — is the new battery dead on arrival?
Almost certainly not. A cell stored in a discharged device can drop below 2.5V, which triggers BMS lockout — the protection circuit blocks output to prevent damage, and the device shows no sign of life. Connect the charger and leave it for at least 30 minutes before pressing power; the BMS needs a trickle charge to recover the cell voltage above the lockout threshold, typically around 2.8–3.0V, before it will pass current to the board.
The tizi is warm near the battery compartment while charging the new cell — is that normal?
Some warmth is expected on the first few charges. A new cell starts with slightly higher internal impedance than a broken-in one, so the charge IC dissipates a little more energy as heat during the constant-current phase. If the device is warm but not hot to the touch, and warmth disappears once charging completes, that is normal and settles after two or three full cycles. If the casing becomes too hot to hold comfortably, stop charging and check that the connector is fully seated — a loose contact creates resistance and additional heat.
The battery percentage reads 100% almost immediately after I start charging — what's wrong?
The fuel gauge IC is still running the discharge model stored for the original degraded cell, which had very little capacity left. Against that old profile, even a small charge input looks like a full cell. Run one complete cycle: discharge the tizi until it shuts itself off, then charge without interruption to 100%. After that single calibration cycle the coulomb counter resets against the new cell's actual capacity and the percentage readings track correctly from that point forward.
