Fits Uniscope U73 smartphone and replaces the OEM battery for this model.
3.7V and 1000mAh capacity restores full-charge capacity on U73 devices that shut down prematurely.
Connector slides straight into the factory slot with no modifications or adapter needed.
We bench-tested this cell on U73 hardware — BMS initialized without fault codes on first power-up.
On first use after installation, disable fast charging for one complete discharge-charge cycle to let the fuel gauge IC recalibrate against the new cell discharge curve.

Battery Care Tips

🔹 Getting Started

Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.

🔹 Keep It Healthy

Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.

Delivery and Shipping

🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

Uniscope U73 — 3.7V Li-ion 1000mAh Replacement Battery

This is a 3.7V Li-ion cell rated at 1000mAh (3.7Wh), built to fit the Uniscope U73 smartphone. It replaces the original cell when the factory battery no longer holds a charge through normal daily use. Dimensions are 53.00 × 33.90 × 5.70mm — verify these against your existing cell before installing.

  • U73 fit: The U73 uses a compact removable cell on a 3.7V single-cell Li-ion voltage rail. This replacement matches that rail, the physical footprint, and the connector orientation so the battery seats correctly in the chassis.
  • Bench tested on actual hardware: We cycled this cell through charge and discharge on the bench, confirmed the BMS accepted a full charge without tripping, and checked that charge termination cut off cleanly at 4.2V.
  • First-cycle fast charge tip: On first use after installation, disable fast charging for one complete discharge-charge cycle. This lets the U73's fuel gauge IC recalibrate its discharge curve against the new cell before high-current charging runs against an uncalibrated register.

Sudden shutdown at 20–30% on the U73 after a cell swap

After replacing the cell, the U73 may shut down abruptly while the OS still shows 20–30% remaining. This happens because the fuel gauge IC is still using the discharge curve it mapped to the old, degraded cell. When modem transmit bursts or screen load spike current draw, the new cell's actual voltage drops below the shutdown threshold faster than the stale curve predicts. Run two full discharge-charge cycles without fast charging and the gauge will remap to the new cell's actual capacity curve.

U73 not powering on after the replacement cell sat in storage

Li-ion cells self-discharge in storage, and if voltage drops below approximately 2.5V per cell the BMS trips into deep-discharge lockout to protect the cell. The U73 will show no sign of life — no boot screen, no charge indicator. Connect the phone to a 5V USB charger and leave it undisturbed for 15–30 minutes. The charge IC will trickle current into the cell until voltage recovers above the BMS re-enable threshold, typically around 2.9V, after which normal charging resumes.

Frequently Asked Questions

My Uniscope U73 keeps shutting off at around 25% after I put in the new battery — is something wrong with the cell?

Nothing is wrong with the cell. The fuel gauge IC in the U73 is still using the discharge curve it built from your old, worn-out battery, so its percentage reading doesn't match where the new cell actually runs out of voltage under load. Run two full discharge-charge cycles with fast charging disabled and the gauge will recalibrate to the new cell. After that, shutdowns at 20–30% should stop.

The U73 battery percentage is jumping around erratically — it jumped from 60% to 41% in two minutes without heavy use.

The coulomb counter in the U73 is recalibrating after the cell swap. It loses its reference point when the original cell is removed, and it takes one or two full cycles to build an accurate state-of-charge map against the new cell's actual capacity. Let the phone discharge to automatic shutdown, then charge uninterrupted to 100% without unplugging early. The percentage should stabilise after that full reference cycle.

Fast charging stopped working on my U73 right after I installed the replacement battery — it only charges slowly now.

On the first cycle after a cell swap, the U73's charge IC often defaults to a lower constant-current profile because it hasn't verified the new BMS handshake yet. This is normal behaviour, not a fault. Complete one full slow charge to 100%, then discharge normally to below 20% and plug back in — the fast charge protocol should re-engage on the second cycle once the charge IC accepts the new cell's BMS response.
