Fits Xiaomi Mi 12 Lite 5G and replaces OEM battery part BP4B.
Voltage sits at 3.87V nominal with 4200mAh capacity—enough to sustain the processor and display through a full day.
Connector type is the standard Mi 12 Lite 5G flex contact; orientation aligns with the original cell slot.
We bench tested this cell against the stock discharge curve; BMS accepted the pack on first insertion with no fault codes.
On first charge after installation, disable fast charging for one complete discharge-charge cycle to let the fuel gauge IC recalibrate against the new cell curve.

Battery Care Tips

🔹 Getting Started

Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.

🔹 Keep It Healthy

Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.

Delivery and Shipping

🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

Xiaomi Mi 12 Lite 5G — 3.87V Li-Polymer Replacement Battery (BP4B)

This is a 3.87V, 4200mAh (16.25Wh) Li-Polymer battery for the Xiaomi Mi 12 Lite 5G, covering model variants 2203129I and 2203129G. It replaces OEM part BP4B and fits the original connector and battery bay without modification. Capacity matches the factory spec — no downgrade.

  • Mi 12 Lite 5G variant coverage (2203129I / 2203129G): Both regional variants share the same PCB layout, connector pinout, and BMS handshake protocol — one cell fits both. The BP4B footprint and flex cable position are identical across the I and G builds.
  • Bench tested on actual hardware: We ran this cell through charge and discharge cycles on a Mi 12 Lite 5G unit. The BMS accepted the cell without error flags, and the charge IC communicated correctly with the replacement cell at both standard and fast-charge current levels.
  • Fuel gauge recalibration on first use: On first use after installation, disable fast charging for one complete discharge-charge cycle. This lets the fuel gauge IC build an accurate discharge curve against the new cell before high-current charging pushes power into an uncalibrated state.

Sudden shutdown at 20–30% on the replacement cell

This is a voltage cliff issue, not a capacity fault. Under modem load or display peaks, the new cell's voltage drops faster than the fuel gauge IC expects because it is still calibrated to the old, degraded cell curve. The phone interprets the voltage drop as a critical low and cuts power. Run one full discharge down to auto-shutdown, then charge to 100% uninterrupted — the coulomb counter resets and the shutdowns stop.

USB-PD fast charge not engaging on the first cycle after replacement

After a cell swap, the charge IC on the Mi 12 Lite 5G may default to trickle or standard charge on the first cycle while it verifies the new cell's impedance profile. This is a BMS-side handshake behaviour — not a cable or adapter fault. If fast charging does not activate, complete one full standard charge, then reconnect the fast charger. The protocol should negotiate correctly from the second cycle onward.

Frequently Asked Questions

My Mi 12 Lite 5G keeps shutting off at around 25% after I put in the new battery — is something wrong with it?

Nothing is wrong with the cell. The fuel gauge IC is still running the discharge curve from your old degraded battery, so it hits a voltage threshold under modem or screen load and cuts power before the actual charge is gone. Run one complete discharge to auto-shutdown, then charge to 100% without interruption. The coulomb counter resets against the new cell and the early shutdowns stop.

The battery percentage is jumping around erratically — it went from 60% to 41% in two minutes without me doing anything.

The fuel gauge IC is recalibrating. It lost its reference point when the old cell was removed, and it is now estimating state-of-charge against a curve it has not yet mapped on the new cell. Let the phone run one full discharge-to-shutdown cycle followed by a full uninterrupted charge to 100%. After that cycle the IC has a real discharge curve to work from and the percentage readings stabilise.

The phone won't turn on at all after the new battery sat in a drawer for a few weeks before I installed it.

If the cell voltage dropped below roughly 2.5V during storage, the BMS locks out to prevent damage — the phone will not power on and may not show a charging indicator immediately. Connect the original Xiaomi charger and leave it for 20–30 minutes without pressing anything. The BMS runs a trickle pre-charge to bring the cell above the lockout threshold, after which normal charging resumes and the phone powers on.
