This 15.4V, 4500mAh (69.3Wh) Li-Polymer battery fits the Redmi RedmiBook Pro 15, Redmi Pro 15 R7, XMA2007-BB, and XMA2007-BJ. It replaces a dead or degraded original cell and restores the laptop to untethered operation. Dimensions are 276.70 x 108.50 x 5.80mm — confirm clearance before fitting.

BIOS reporting battery health as "poor" or "unknown" immediately after installation

This happens because the BIOS compares EEPROM data stored on the old cell against the new cell's reported parameters. The new cell has no usage history written to its EEPROM, so the firmware flags it as unhealthy or unrecognised. It is not a fault with the replacement cell. Run one full discharge to hibernate-cutoff followed by an uninterrupted charge to 100% — the BIOS battery learn cycle writes fresh calibration data and the health warning clears.

My RedmiBook Pro 15 shows the wrong Wh rating in system info after I swapped the battery — is the new cell actually smaller?

No. The Wh figure shown in Windows or the BIOS is read from the cell's EEPROM, which stores rated capacity data rather than measured capacity. A replacement cell may carry a slightly different EEPROM value than the OEM original, so the displayed number can differ even when the actual chemistry and capacity are correct. The installed cell is 69.3Wh — if the system displays a close but not identical figure, it reflects an EEPROM labelling difference, not an undersized cell.

The fuel gauge on my RedmiBook Pro 15 jumps around wildly for the first few days after fitting a new battery — percentage goes up and down with no load change.

The fuel gauge IC on the RedmiBook Pro 15 mainboard calibrates itself against learned voltage-to-capacity curves from the old cell. When a new cell goes in, those stored curves no longer match, so the IC guesses and gets it wrong. Readings stabilise after two to three full discharge-to-hibernate cycles followed by uninterrupted charges to 100%. My RedmiBook Pro 15 stops charging at 80% and will not go higher — is the replacement battery defective?

Almost certainly not. Redmi laptops ship with a BIOS-level charge limit that caps charging at 80% to reduce long-term cell stress — it is a firmware setting, not a battery fault. Open the Xiaomi PC Manager app, navigate to battery settings, and disable the battery saver or charge limit option. Once turned off, charging will proceed to 100% on the next charge cycle.
