Fits Schenker XMG-A305-4UQ and related XMG-A305 series models; replaces CS-CLW230NB battery.
11.1V 5200mAh lithium-ion cell delivers 57.72Wh for sustained gaming and productivity workloads on this performance laptop.
Connector seats into the proprietary Schenker slot with latching tabs on both sides; verify orientation before closing the bay door.
We bench tested this pack on the XMG-A305 platform; the BMS accepted charge input cleanly and voltage held steady under CPU-plus-GPU load cycles.
After installation, run one full discharge to hibernation cutoff then charge uninterrupted to 100% to reset the BIOS battery learn cycle and clear inaccurate health warnings.

Battery Care Tips

🔹 Getting Started

Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.

🔹 Keep It Healthy

Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.

Delivery and Shipping

🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

Schenker XMG-A305 Series — 11.1V Li-ion Replacement Battery

This 11.1V, 5200mAh (57.72Wh) Li-ion battery fits the Schenker XMG-A305-4UQ and related XMG-A305 variants including the 5UR, 1ER, and 7UK. It restores portable operation to XMG gaming notebooks where the original cell has degraded or failed to hold charge. Voltage, connector pinout, and physical dimensions match the original battery bay.

  • XMG-A305 platform compatibility: The A305 variants in this lineup share the same 11.1V three-cell architecture, battery bay dimensions (202.80 × 49.10 × 24.50mm), and connector layout. One cell fits the full model range because the BMS handshake uses the same communication protocol across the series.
  • Bench tested on actual hardware: We ran charge-discharge cycles on this cell and monitored BMS response under simulated gaming load — CPU and GPU draw combined. The protection circuit held correct cutoff thresholds at both ends of the voltage range without false trips.
  • Post-installation calibration on XMG notebooks: After fitting this cell, run the laptop down to hibernate cutoff on battery alone, then charge uninterrupted to 100%. This forces the BIOS battery learn cycle to reset against the new cell and clears the inaccurate health warning that appears after every cell swap on XMG systems.

BIOS reporting poor battery health immediately after fitting a new cell

XMG notebooks store battery health data in EEPROM and compare it against the connected cell at every boot. A new cell has no accumulated cycle data, so the BIOS flags it as degraded until the learn cycle runs. This is a firmware read issue, not a fault with the replacement cell. Run one full discharge to hibernate, then charge straight to 100% without interruption — the health status corrects itself after that cycle completes.

Laptop shuts down at 20–30% charge shown on screen

Under full gaming load — CPU, GPU, and display all drawing simultaneously — the cell voltage drops faster than the fuel gauge IC can track. When voltage hits the BMS cutoff threshold, the system shuts off even though the OS still shows charge remaining. This is a voltage cliff caused by high-draw load on a cell that hasn't been calibrated to the system yet. Run two or three full discharge-to-hibernate cycles and the fuel gauge IC recalibrates its internal model to match actual cell behaviour.

Frequently Asked Questions

The XMG-A305 shows the new battery as 0% or "unknown" in Windows immediately after fitting — is the cell dead?

No. The fuel gauge IC in the XMG-A305 reads EEPROM data from the previous cell and has no baseline for the new one yet. Windows reports 0% or unknown until the IC runs at least one full calibration pass. Discharge the laptop to hibernate cutoff on battery power, then charge uninterrupted to 100% — the fuel gauge corrects after that cycle.

Windows Battery Report shows a wildly different Wh rating than the 57.72Wh spec — is this the wrong battery?

Not necessarily. The Wh figure Windows reads comes from EEPROM data embedded in the cell, which reflects rated chemistry values that can differ slightly from the actual capacity the fuel gauge measures in real use. The cell we supply is rated at 57.72Wh (5200mAh at 11.1V). After two full calibration cycles, the reported Wh figure in Battery Report typically settles closer to the rated spec.

Charge stops at 80% and won't go higher — is the new battery faulty?

This is almost always a BIOS-controlled charge limit, not a cell fault. Many XMG notebooks ship with a battery conservation mode enabled that caps charging at 80% to reduce long-term cell stress. Check the Schenker Control Center or your BIOS power settings and disable the charge limit or set the threshold to 100% — charging will resume to full immediately.
