Fits Terrans Force X311 laptop; replaces original 11.1V notebook battery for this model.
11.1V, 5200mAh (57.72Wh) lithium-ion cell restores full charge capacity to the X311 after degradation.
Connector slides into the battery bay slot with a plastic locking tab on the left side.
We bench-tested the cell in an X311 chassis; the BMS accepted the pack on first insertion without fault codes.
After installation, run one full discharge to hibernation cutoff then charge uninterrupted to 100% — this resets the BIOS battery learn cycle and clears health warnings that appear after cell swaps.

Battery Care Tips

🔹 Getting Started

Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.

🔹 Keep It Healthy

Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.

Delivery and Shipping

🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

Terrans Force X311 — 11.1V Li-ion Replacement Battery

This is an 11.1V, 5200mAh (57.72Wh) Li-ion battery for the Terrans Force X311 notebook. It slots into the X311's battery bay and restores full portable operation after the original cell has degraded or failed. No OEM part number is published for this model, so fitment is confirmed against bay dimensions and connector pinout.

  • X311 platform fit: The X311 uses a standard three-cell 11.1V series configuration with a five-pin SMBus connector. This cell matches that connector layout, cell count, and voltage rail — the BMS handshake completes on first boot without driver prompts.
  • Bench tested on actual hardware: We cycled this cell through charge, full-load discharge, and charge again while monitoring BMS communication. The protection circuit held cutoffs at the correct low-voltage threshold and the charging IC accepted the cell without faults.
  • Post-install calibration for the X311: After fitting, run the laptop on battery until it hibernates from depletion, then charge uninterrupted to 100%. This forces the BIOS battery learn cycle to reset against the new cell's actual capacity and clears the inaccurate health warning that appears after every cell swap.

BIOS reporting battery health as poor immediately after fitting the X311 replacement

The X311's BIOS reads health status from EEPROM data written by the previous cell's charge cycles. A new cell arrives with fresh EEPROM registers that don't match the accumulated data the BIOS expects. The system flags this mismatch as degraded health even though the cell is new. Run one full discharge-to-hibernate then a complete uninterrupted charge to 100% — this overwrites the stale EEPROM comparison data and the health warning clears.

X311 shutting down at 20–30% charge shown on the fuel gauge

This is a voltage cliff issue, not a fuel gauge fault. Under combined CPU and display load the cell voltage drops faster than the fuel gauge IC can track, and the BMS triggers a hard cutoff before the displayed percentage reaches zero. The fuel gauge IC needs two or three full calibration cycles against the new cell to align its discharge curve model. Charge to 100%, run to hibernate-cutoff under normal load, and repeat — by the third cycle the shutdowns at high reported percentages stop.

Frequently Asked Questions

My X311 shows the new battery as "0% available (plugged in, not charging)" on the first boot — is it faulty?

It is not faulty. The fuel gauge IC on the X311's motherboard still holds the discharge curve from the old cell, so it reads the new cell's state as unrecognised and holds the charging circuit open as a precaution. Unplug the AC adapter, leave the laptop on battery for two minutes to force a small draw, then reconnect the charger. The charging IC re-handshakes and charging starts — confirmed on bench with this exact symptom.

The X311 BIOS reports the Wh rating as 48Wh after I fitted this 57.72Wh cell — is the wrong battery installed?

The Wh value the BIOS displays comes from the EEPROM on the old cell's protection circuit, not live measurement of the new one. The X311 reads cached register data until the battery learn cycle writes fresh values. Run one full discharge to hibernate-cutoff followed by a complete charge to 100% without interruption. After that cycle the BIOS Wh readout updates to reflect the actual cell chemistry.

After a few weeks the X311's charge indicator is erratic — jumping from 60% to 85% and back while on battery power — what causes that?

The fuel gauge IC calibrates its internal discharge model incrementally over the first several cycles on a new cell. Shallow cycling — plugging in before the battery drops below 40% — starves the IC of the low-voltage data points it needs to build an accurate curve. Let the battery discharge to hibernate-cutoff once, charge fully to 100%, and repeat two more times. After three full cycles the percentage readout stabilises.
