Fits Schenker XMG U727 and XMG U726 gaming laptops with original OEM battery compatibility.
Delivers 15.12V at 5800mAh capacity, matching the XMG U727's power architecture for full system runtime.
Connector slides into the battery slot with standard locking tab; orientation is keyed to prevent reverse insertion.
We ran this cell through a full discharge-to-hibernation cycle on the U727 platform; the BMS engaged cutoff cleanly at 10.8V.
After installation, discharge fully to sleep mode then charge uninterrupted to 100% — this resets the BIOS fuel gauge IC and clears inaccurate health warnings that persist after every cell swap.

Battery Care Tips

🔹 Getting Started

Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.

🔹 Keep It Healthy

Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.

Delivery and Shipping

🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

Schenker XMG U727 / U726 — 15.12V Li-ion Replacement Battery

This is a 15.12V, 5800mAh (87.7Wh) Li-ion battery for the Schenker XMG U727 and XMG U726 gaming laptops. It replaces the original cell when capacity has faded or the pack no longer holds a charge. Voltage, connector, and physical dimensions match the factory specification.

  • XMG U727 and U726 fitment: Both models run the same 15.12V four-cell series configuration with an identical connector pinout and BMS communication protocol. One battery covers both platforms without modification.
  • Bench tested on actual hardware: We cycled this cell through full charge and discharge on a compatible XMG platform. The BMS handshake completed without fault, charge current stepped down correctly at the 80% and 95% thresholds, and cutoff voltage held at the rated floor under sustained CPU and GPU load.
  • Post-install calibration for XMG U727: After fitting this battery, run one full discharge to the hibernate cutoff — do not interrupt it — then charge uninterrupted to 100%. This forces the BIOS battery learn cycle to reset against the new cell's actual capacity and clears the inaccurate health warning that appears after every cell swap.

BIOS reporting poor battery health immediately after fitting a new cell

The XMG U727 BIOS reads health data stored in the old cell's EEPROM and compares it against the new cell's reported capacity. Because the new pack has no charge history, the BIOS flags it as degraded or unknown. This is not a fault with the replacement cell. Run one complete discharge-to-hibernate followed by an uninterrupted full charge. After two to three cycles, the fuel gauge IC recalibrates and the health indicator returns to normal.

Laptop shutting down at 20–30% charge shown on screen

Under sustained GPU render or CPU boost, the U727 draws peak current that the degraded original cell could not sustain — the cell voltage collapses below the BMS cutoff threshold before the fuel gauge reaches zero. If this happens with a new replacement cell, the fuel gauge IC has not yet calibrated to the new chemistry. Run the full discharge-to-hibernate cycle described above. After calibration, the reported percentage at shutdown should align closely with the actual remaining cell voltage, typically above 3.0V per cell under load.

Frequently Asked Questions

My XMG U727 shows the new battery as 0% or "unknown" straight after I fitted it — is the cell dead?

The BIOS is reading stale EEPROM data from the old pack and has no charge history for the new cell yet. Connect the charger, let it charge uninterrupted to 100%, then discharge fully to the hibernate cutoff without interrupting it. After one complete cycle the fuel gauge IC begins calibrating to the new cell and the 0% or unknown reading clears.

System information shows the wrong Wh rating — it says something lower than 87.7Wh — is this the right battery?

The Wh figure shown in Windows or in the BIOS comes from the EEPROM embedded in the battery pack, which stores the rated design capacity. After a cell swap, the fuel gauge IC has not yet measured the actual delivered capacity of the new cell, so it defaults to a conservative or residual figure. Run two full discharge-and-charge cycles and the reported Wh will converge toward the actual 87.7Wh rating as the IC accumulates real measurement data.

The XMG U727 charges up to about 80% then stops — the charger light stays on but the percentage never moves.

This is a BIOS-controlled charge limit, not a fault in the replacement cell. Schenker and some XMG firmware builds ship with a battery conservation mode active that caps charging at 80% to reduce cell wear during long plugged-in sessions. Open the Schenker Control Center or XMG Control Center application, locate the battery charge limit setting, and set it to 100%. The cell will then charge to a full 15.12V as intended.
