Fits Eurocom XMG U727, Sky X9E3, Sky X7E2 models using CS-CLP870NB part number.
15.12V, 5800mAh (87.7Wh) restores full charge capacity on degraded cells or failed packs.
Connector seats into the laptop battery slot with positive terminal forward; locking tab secures horizontal.
Bench test showed BMS accepted the cell on cold insertion; voltage held 15.1V unloaded at completion.
On first boot after installation, run a full discharge cycle to hibernate shutdown, then charge uninterrupted to 100% — this resets the BIOS battery learn cycle and clears the inaccurate health warning that appears after every cell swap.

Battery Care Tips

🔹 Getting Started

Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.

🔹 Keep It Healthy

Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.

Delivery and Shipping

🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

Eurocom XMG U727 / Sky X9E3 / Sky X7E2 — 15.12V Li-ion Replacement Battery

This is a 15.12V, 5800mAh (87.7Wh) Li-ion battery for the Eurocom XMG U727, XMG U727 2017, Sky X9E3, and Sky X7E2 notebook systems. It replaces the internal battery pack when capacity has degraded or the original cell has failed. Install restores portable operation on these high-performance Eurocom platforms.

  • XMG U727 / Sky series shared platform: These Eurocom models run the same 15.12V battery architecture with a shared connector pinout and BMS handshake protocol. Swapping between these SKUs uses the same physical bay and the same BIOS-side battery authentication path.
  • Bench tested on actual hardware: We cycled this cell through full charge and discharge on the XMG U727 platform. The BMS negotiated correctly at every stage — charge acceptance, cutoff, and cell balancing all registered within spec. No false fault codes were triggered.
  • Post-install calibration on Eurocom systems: After fitting this battery, run the system down to hibernate cutoff under real load — not idle — then charge uninterrupted to 100%. This forces the BIOS battery learn cycle to reset against the new cell and clears the inaccurate health warning that appears after every cell swap.

BIOS reporting battery health as poor immediately after replacement

The XMG U727 BIOS reads health data from EEPROM registers written by the original cell. When a new cell arrives, those registers don't match the fresh chemistry — so the system flags poor health or unknown status. This is not a fault with the replacement cell. Running one full discharge-to-hibernate followed by an uninterrupted charge to 100% forces a battery learn cycle that rewrites the BIOS-side health data against the new cell's actual characteristics. After one to two full cycles, the health readout normalises.

Laptop shutting down at 20–30% charge shown on screen

This is a voltage cliff failure under combined CPU and display load. The fuel gauge IC is still calibrated to the old cell's discharge curve, so it reports 20–30% remaining when the actual cell voltage has already dropped below the system's cutoff threshold. The laptop shuts down because the hardware sees undervoltage — not because the gauge agrees. Run two full discharge and charge cycles to recalibrate the fuel gauge IC against the new cell, and the displayed percentage will align with actual remaining voltage.

Frequently Asked Questions

The XMG U727 BIOS shows the new battery as "0% available (plugged in, charging)" and won't update — what causes this?

The BIOS is reading stale EEPROM data from the old cell and has not yet run a learn cycle against the new one. Discharge the laptop fully under load until it hibernates, then charge uninterrupted to 100% without interruption. This resets the BIOS battery learn cycle and forces the system to write fresh health data from the new cell's actual capacity profile. After one complete cycle, the percentage readout should recover to normal.

The OS fuel gauge on the XMG U727 is jumping wildly — showing 60%, then 45%, then 80% within minutes of unplugging. Is the cell faulty?

The fuel gauge IC is not faulty — it is uncalibrated against the new cell chemistry. The IC was trained on the original cell's discharge curve, and the new cell has a different voltage-to-capacity profile, so the algorithm produces erratic estimates. Run two full discharge cycles under real workload down to hibernate cutoff, then charge to 100% each time. After two calibration cycles the fuel gauge IC stabilises its estimate against the new cell's actual curve.

The replacement battery shows 87.7Wh in the system info but the original showed a different Wh rating — should they match?

Not necessarily. The Wh value displayed in system info is pulled from the EEPROM on the cell, which stores the manufacturer-rated capacity at the time of production. Different cell batches or replacement cells can carry a different rated Wh figure even when the physical voltage and mAh capacity are within spec. The 87.7Wh value on this cell is accurate for 5800mAh at 15.12V — the maths confirms it. If the BIOS health screen continues to flag a mismatch, run a full discharge-to-hibernate cycle and the EEPROM data will resync to the BIOS battery learn table.
