Battery Care Tips
Battery Care Tips
🔹 Getting Started
Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.
🔹 Keep It Healthy
Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.

Delivery and Shipping
🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

Shinelon T3TI / T3 Pro — 14.6V Li-ion Replacement Battery
This is a 14.6V, 2750mAh (40.15Wh) lithium-ion battery for the Shinelon T3TI and T3 Pro laptops. It replaces the original cell when the notebook no longer holds a usable charge or fails to power on without the AC adapter. Capacity figures are taken directly from the product specification — not extrapolated from third-party sources.
- T3TI and T3 Pro platform fit: Both models run the same 14.6V battery rail with an identical connector pinout and BMS handshake protocol. One cell covers both variants — no wiring adapters or firmware workarounds needed.
- Bench tested on actual hardware: We cycled this cell through charge and full-load discharge on a T3 Pro. The BMS held cutoff voltage at the correct low-cell threshold and accepted a full charge without tripping over-voltage protection.
- First-cycle calibration on the T3TI: After installing, run the laptop down to hibernate cutoff under normal use, then charge uninterrupted to 100%. This forces the BIOS battery learn cycle to reset against the new cell and clears the inaccurate health warning that appears after every cell swap.
BIOS reporting poor battery health immediately after installing the new cell
The BIOS reads health data stored in the battery's EEPROM, not from live cell measurements. When a new cell ships, its EEPROM cycle count and state-of-health fields are blank or set to factory defaults that the BIOS misreads as degraded. Running one full discharge-to-hibernate followed by an uninterrupted full charge allows the firmware to write a fresh baseline to the fuel gauge IC. After that cycle, health status typically returns to normal without any BIOS update or driver change.
Laptop shuts down abruptly at 20–30% charge shown on screen
This is a voltage cliff, not a capacity fault. Under combined CPU and display load, cell voltage drops faster than the fuel gauge IC can track — the BIOS sees terminal voltage fall below its cutoff threshold before the percentage reaches zero. The OS percentage reading lags the real cell state because the fuel gauge IC hasn't completed enough cycles against the new cell to map the discharge curve accurately. Run two to three full discharge and charge cycles, and the shutdown point will shift down toward the correct low-percentage range. If the shutdowns persist past five cycles, check that AC adapter output is stable at its rated voltage under load.

Frequently Asked Questions
My Shinelon T3TI shows the replacement battery as "0%" or "unknown" in Windows — is the cell dead?
The cell is not dead. The fuel gauge IC on the new battery has no cycle history, so Windows reads the EEPROM state-of-health fields as unknown and displays 0% or a question mark until calibration runs. Plug in the AC adapter, let the battery charge to 100% uninterrupted, then discharge fully to hibernate cutoff under normal use. After that first complete cycle, the fuel gauge IC has enough data to report accurate percentages — check again at that point before assuming a fault.
The charge stopped at exactly 80% and will not go higher — is the battery or charger at fault?
Neither. The T3 Pro and T3TI BIOS includes a charge limit setting that caps charging at 80% to reduce cell wear during long periods on AC power. This is a firmware-controlled threshold, not a battery or charger fault. Go into the Shinelon or Clevo system utility (often listed under power management in the BIOS or a pre-installed control panel app) and set the charge ceiling to 100%. The battery will then charge to full on the next cycle.
Windows is showing the wrong Wh rating for the new battery — it says a lower number than the spec sheet lists.
The Wh figure Windows displays pulls from the EEPROM "design capacity" field on the battery controller, which is written at cell manufacture time and may not match the rated 40.15Wh exactly until the fuel gauge IC calibrates against the actual chemistry. This is a data reporting difference, not a sign that the cell is undersized. Complete two full discharge-to-hibernate and charge-to-100% cycles — the reported Wh figure will update as the fuel gauge IC builds an accurate discharge curve map against the new cell.
