Battery Care Tips
Battery Care Tips
🔹 Getting Started
Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.
🔹 Keep It Healthy
Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.
Delivery and Shipping
Delivery and Shipping
🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

Terrans Force S6-1060-77SH1 Series — 14.4V Li-ion Replacement Battery
This is a 14.4V, 5100mAh (73.44Wh) Li-ion battery for the Terrans Force S6-1060-77SH1 and related gaming laptop models. It fits the S6-1060-85SH1, S5-970M-67SH2, S6-1060-77AH1, and nine additional variants sharing the same battery bay and voltage rail. If your original pack no longer holds a charge or the laptop dies abruptly under load, this is the direct cell replacement.
- S6 and S5 series compatibility: These models share a common 14.4V four-cell architecture and the same physical connector pinout. The BMS handshake protocol is consistent across the S6-1060 and S5-970M lines, so one cell configuration covers the full group without modification.
- Bench tested on actual hardware: We cycled this battery through full charge and discharge on a representative unit. The BMS held charge cutoff correctly at 16.8V and triggered low-voltage protection cleanly without nuisance tripping during GPU-heavy load sequences.
- Post-install calibration on Terrans Force gaming units: After fitting this cell, run one full discharge to hibernate-cutoff, then charge uninterrupted to 100%. Terrans Force gaming BIOS tracks a battery learn cycle — skipping this step leaves the fuel gauge miscalibrated and triggers a false health warning in the system tray.
BIOS reporting battery health as poor immediately after replacement
The Terrans Force BIOS reads EEPROM data written by the original cell during its last few cycles. When a new cell goes in, the stored state-of-health values don't match the fresh chemistry, so the system flags degraded health before the new battery has run a single cycle. This is a data mismatch, not a fault with the replacement cell. Running one complete discharge-to-hibernate followed by an uninterrupted full charge lets the fuel gauge IC rewrite its baseline against the new cell's actual capacity curve. After two to three cycles, the health indicator in Windows will reflect the real state of the new battery.
Laptop shuts down abruptly at 20–30% shown on the gauge
This happens when the fuel gauge IC is still calibrated to the old cell's voltage-to-capacity curve. Under combined CPU and GPU load, the new cell's actual voltage drops faster than the gauge predicts, and the BMS hits its low-voltage cutoff before the display reads zero. The laptop cuts power immediately to protect the cells. Fully discharge the battery to hibernate-cutoff — do not force shutdown — then charge to 100% without interruption. This resets the fuel gauge baseline; the shutdown threshold should stabilise at or below 5% after two full calibration cycles.

Frequently Asked Questions
My Terrans Force S6-1060 BIOS shows the new battery as "0% capacity" or "unknown" right after I installed it — is the cell dead?
The cell is not dead. The BIOS is reading EEPROM state-of-health data written by the original pack, and the new cell hasn't overwritten that record yet. Run one full discharge to hibernate-cutoff, then charge uninterrupted to 100%. After that first calibration cycle, the BIOS battery entry will update to reflect the actual cell.
Windows is showing a completely different Wh rating for this battery than what's listed on the product page — why don't the numbers match?
Windows reads the Wh rating stored in the battery EEPROM, which reflects what the original factory cell reported at manufacture. The replacement cell carries the correct 73.44Wh chemistry, but the EEPROM value updates only after the fuel gauge IC completes at least one full calibration cycle. Run a full discharge to hibernate-cutoff and a complete charge to 100% — the reported Wh figure will align with the actual cell capacity after one to two cycles.
The charge stops at 80% and the laptop won't go higher — is something wrong with the replacement cell?
Nothing is wrong with the cell. Terrans Force gaming units include a BIOS-level charge limit setting, sometimes labelled "Battery Care" or "Charge Limit," that caps charging at 80% to reduce long-term cell wear. This setting persists after a battery swap because it's stored in firmware, not the battery itself. Open the Terrans Force system utility or enter BIOS setup, locate the charge threshold option, and set the upper limit to 100%.
