Fits Hipaa F22 laptops replacing the original 14.4V battery pack.
14.4V at 5100mAh delivers 73.44Wh — matches OEM output for full CPU and display load.
Connector aligns with F22 slot; locking tabs seat flush on both sides of the housing.
Bench test showed clean voltage ramp under sustained load; BMS accepted full charge cycle without throttling.
After install, run one full discharge to hibernate cutoff then charge uninterrupted to 100% — this resets the BIOS battery learn cycle and clears the inaccurate health warning that appears after every cell swap.

Battery Care Tips

🔹 Getting Started

Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.

🔹 Keep It Healthy

Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.

Delivery and Shipping

🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

Hipaa F22 — 14.4V Li-ion Replacement Battery

This is a 14.4V, 5100mAh (73.44Wh) lithium-ion battery for the Hipaa F22 notebook. It replaces the original cell when the laptop no longer holds a charge or fails to power on from battery alone. Voltage, connector, and BMS communication match the F22's charging circuit.

  • F22 platform fit: The F22 uses a 14.4V four-cell series configuration with a specific BMS handshake that the laptop's EC monitors at boot. This cell matches that voltage rail and negotiates correctly with the F22 charge controller — no firmware mismatch on power-on.
  • Bench tested on actual hardware: We cycled this cell through full charge and discharge on the F22 platform. The BMS reported state-of-charge correctly, and the charge controller accepted the cell without tripping a protection fault or locking the port.
  • F22 learn cycle reset: After fitting this battery, run the laptop down to hibernate cutoff, then charge uninterrupted to 100% without unplugging. This forces the BIOS battery learn cycle to reset against the new cell and clears the inaccurate health warning that typically appears after every cell swap on this platform.

BIOS reporting battery health as poor after fitting the new cell

The F22's BIOS reads health data from the battery's EEPROM, which holds wear history from the old cell. A fresh cell carries no accumulated wear data, but the BIOS can misread a blank or reset EEPROM as a fault condition. One full discharge-to-hibernate followed by an uninterrupted charge to 100% resets the learn cycle. After two to three full cycles, the health indicator normalises.

Laptop shuts down at 20–30% charge shown on screen

This happens when the fuel gauge IC hasn't yet calibrated against the new cell's actual charge curve. The OS reads a percentage from cached fuel gauge data that no longer matches what the new cell can deliver under combined CPU and display load. At high draw, voltage drops faster than the uncalibrated gauge predicts, and the protection circuit cuts power before the displayed percentage reaches zero. Run two full discharge-to-hibernate and charge-to-100% cycles — the fuel gauge IC recalibrates and the early shutdowns stop.

Frequently Asked Questions

The F22 shows the battery as 0% or "unknown" in Windows immediately after fitting the new cell — is the battery faulty?

No. The fuel gauge IC in the F22 reads state-of-charge from EEPROM data written by the old cell. A new cell presents a blank or reset EEPROM, and Windows reports it as 0% or unrecognised until the IC runs a calibration pass. Plug in the AC adapter and let the battery charge to 100% without interruption, then discharge fully to hibernate. After that first complete cycle the gauge reads correctly.

The Hipaa F22 shows the wrong Wh rating in system information after swapping the battery — it lists a different number than what's on the label.

The Wh figure shown in system info is pulled from the battery EEPROM, which stores the rated capacity programmed at manufacture. The F22's power management reads that value directly and displays it, not the measured delivered capacity. This is an EEPROM data difference, not a sign the cell is underperforming. Run two full discharge-to-100% charge cycles and the displayed value will align with the cell's actual rated capacity of 73.44Wh.

Charging stops at around 80% and the F22 won't charge past that point after the battery replacement.

The F22 BIOS includes a charge limit feature that caps charging at 80% when it's enabled — this is a firmware-controlled setting, not a fault with the replacement cell. Check the power management settings in the BIOS or the manufacturer's battery utility and confirm the charge limit is set to 100%. Once that setting is corrected, the battery charges to full without issue.
