Battery Care Tips
Battery Care Tips
🔹 Getting Started
Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.
🔹 Keep It Healthy
Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.
Delivery and Shipping
Delivery and Shipping
🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

HP iPAQ hx2000 Series — 3.7V Li-ion Replacement Battery (360136-001)
This 3.7V, 1400mAh Li-ion battery replaces the original power cell in the HP iPAQ hx2000, hx2100, hx2110, and hx2115 Pocket PC PDAs. It matches the OEM form factor and connector, fitting directly into the battery bay without modification. Capacity is 1400mAh — matched to the product data, not inflated.
- hx2000 series compatibility: The hx2000, hx2100, hx2110, and hx2115 share the same 3.7V battery rail, connector pinout, and BMS handshake protocol. One cell covers all four variants because HP standardised the battery interface across this mid-2000s Pocket PC lineup.
- Bench tested on actual hardware: We ran this cell on an hx2000 unit and confirmed the BMS accepted the charge cycle without fault flags. Charge draw was steady through CC/CV stages, and the device booted cleanly at full charge.
- Sync before you swap: Perform a full ActiveSync data sync to your host PC before removing the old battery. The hx2000 stores open files, contacts, and application state in volatile SRAM — powered entirely by the main battery. Pull the cell without syncing and that data is gone.
Why the iPAQ hx2000 loses all data on battery removal
The hx2000 uses SRAM for working memory — unlike flash storage, SRAM loses its contents the moment power drops to zero. There is no separate backup coin cell in this model to hold RAM state during a swap. The instant the main battery is disconnected, any data not written to flash or synced to a PC is erased. Always close all apps, sync via ActiveSync, and perform a soft reset before removing the battery.
iPAQ hx2000 not booting after fitting a new battery
A replacement Li-ion cell often ships at a partial state of charge — sometimes below the minimum voltage the hx2000 boot sequence requires. If the device shows nothing on screen or loops at the HP logo after a swap, it has not failed — it needs charge first. Connect the original HP charger and leave the device on charge for at least 30 minutes before pressing the power button. The battery must reach approximately 3.4V before the boot sequence will complete successfully.

Frequently Asked Questions
I swapped the battery in my iPAQ hx2000 and now all my contacts and calendar entries are gone — what happened?
The hx2000 stores contacts, calendar data, and open app state in SRAM, which is volatile memory powered directly by the main battery. The moment the old cell was disconnected, that data lost power and was erased — there is no secondary coin cell to hold it during a swap. This is not a fault with the replacement battery. Going forward, run a full ActiveSync sync to your PC before every battery removal.
My hx2000 wireless sync keeps dropping or running slowly after fitting this battery — is the radio faulty?
The Bluetooth and Wi-Fi radios in the hx2000 are voltage-sensitive and will throttle or drop connections when the battery is not fully charged. A new cell fitted straight from the box is often at 30–50% charge, which is enough to boot the device but not enough to sustain stable radio output. Charge the battery fully before attempting any wireless sync. If the issue continues after a full charge, force a soft reset by pressing the recessed reset button on the base of the unit.
My hx2000 battery drains much faster than I expect during normal use — is the cell faulty?
The backlight and wireless radio together draw several times more current than the device uses in standby, which compresses usable time significantly compared to standby-only figures. If the drain seems abnormal, check that the backlight timeout is set to the shortest acceptable interval under Start → Settings → System → Backlight, and confirm Wi-Fi or Bluetooth is off when not in use. Also confirm the battery reached a full charge before testing — the CC/CV charge cycle needs to complete fully for accurate capacity. A fully charged cell should read between 4.1V and 4.2V at the terminals.
