Fits O2 XDA Ignito PDA; replaces DIAM160 and 35H00113-003 battery packs.
3.7V 1800mAh lithium-ion cell delivers full capacity to this early-2000s Windows Mobile handheld.
Connector slides straight into the XDA Ignito battery slot with no locking tab required.
We bench-tested this cell in the XDA Ignito boot sequence; BMS engaged cleanly and held voltage under organizer application load.
Perform a full data sync to the host computer before removing the old battery — the XDA Ignito stores open files and application state in RAM powered by the main cell, and removing power without syncing causes data loss.

Battery Care Tips

🔹 Getting Started

Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.

🔹 Keep It Healthy

Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.

Delivery and Shipping

🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

O2 XDA Ignito — 3.7V Li-ion Replacement Battery (DIAM160)

This is a 3.7V, 1800mAh Li-ion battery for the O2 XDA Ignito PDA. It replaces OEM part numbers DIAM160 and 35H00113-003. If your XDA Ignito shuts down unexpectedly or no longer holds a charge, this is the direct cell replacement.

  • XDA Ignito platform fit: The XDA Ignito uses a single-cell 3.7V Li-ion pack with a specific connector and BMS handshake tied to the Windows Mobile power management stack. This replacement matches that voltage rail and connector pin-out so the device recognises the pack correctly on boot.
  • Bench tested on actual hardware: We cycled this cell through charge and discharge on the XDA Ignito platform. The BMS responded to charge termination cleanly, and the device reported battery status correctly through the Windows Mobile power management interface without errors.
  • RAM state before battery removal: Perform a full ActiveSync data sync to your PC before pulling the old battery. The XDA Ignito stores open files and application state in volatile SRAM powered directly by the main battery — cutting power without syncing first will wipe unsaved data and open application state.

Why the XDA Ignito loses saved data during a battery swap

Unlike modern smartphones with flash-based storage for app state, the XDA Ignito relies on SRAM to hold application data, contacts, and open files. That SRAM is powered continuously by the main battery — no battery means no power to RAM, and everything stored there is gone. There is no internal backup capacitor large enough to hold state through a full battery swap. Sync completely via ActiveSync before removing the old cell, then fit the new battery and boot.

XDA Ignito stuck on boot screen after fitting a new battery

A freshly shipped Li-ion cell typically arrives at a storage charge of around 40–50%, which can sit below the minimum voltage the XDA Ignito boot sequence requires to initialise the radio and display together. If the device stalls or loops on the boot screen, connect the charger before attempting to power on. Allow the cell to reach at least 3.9V before the first boot attempt. Once fully charged to 4.2V, the boot sequence completes normally.

Frequently Asked Questions

My XDA Ignito wiped all my contacts and calendar after I swapped the battery — why did this happen?

The XDA Ignito stores contacts, calendar entries, and open application data in SRAM, which is powered directly by the main battery. The moment the old battery comes out and before the new one goes in, that SRAM loses power and clears completely. There is no backup capacitor to bridge the gap. Always run a full ActiveSync sync to your PC before removing the battery — that is the only way to protect data through a swap.

The XDA Ignito won't get past the loading screen after fitting the new battery — is the battery faulty?

It is not faulty. Li-ion cells ship at partial charge — typically 40–50% — and the XDA Ignito boot sequence draws enough current to initialise the display and radio simultaneously, which can exceed what a low cell can deliver. Connect the charger immediately after fitting the new battery and leave it until the charge indicator shows full before pressing the power button. The boot sequence completes reliably once the cell reaches 4.2V.

Wireless ActiveSync keeps dropping or running very slowly right after the battery swap — what's going on?

The XDA Ignito's wireless radio is voltage-sensitive and throttles or drops its connection when cell voltage is below the threshold for stable RF output. A new battery at partial charge will cause exactly this behaviour. Charge the device fully before attempting any wireless sync session. Once the cell is at full charge, radio output stabilises and sync speed returns to normal.
