Fits T-Mobile Wing and Wing US models, replaces OEM part 35H00078-02M and HERA160.
3.7V, 2400mAh Li-Polymer cell — matches original capacity for standard calling and messaging use.
Connector slides into the battery slot with a single locking tab; orientation marked on the device housing.
Bench testing showed the BMS accepted a full charge cycle on first insertion with no fault codes.
Perform a full data sync to the host computer before removing the battery — the Wing stores open files and application state in RAM powered by the main cell, and removal without syncing causes data loss.

Battery Care Tips

🔹 Getting Started

Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.

🔹 Keep It Healthy

Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.

Delivery and Shipping

🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

T-Mobile Wing — 3.7V Li-Polymer Replacement Battery (35H00078-02M)

This is a 3.7V, 2400mAh Li-Polymer battery for the T-Mobile Wing and Wing US pocket PC smartphone. It replaces OEM part numbers 35H00078-02M and HERA160. When the original cell degrades, the Wing drops off charge fast — this cell restores full capacity to the power rail.

  • Wing and Wing US fit: Both variants share the same battery bay dimensions, connector pinout, and BMS handshake protocol. One part number covers both — no adapter or modification needed.
  • Bench tested on actual hardware: We cycled this cell through the Wing's charge controller and confirmed the BMS negotiated correctly, accepted a full charge, and held voltage within spec across load. No false-full cutoff observed.
  • Pre-swap sync required: The Wing stores open files, contacts, and application state in volatile RAM powered directly by the main battery. Remove the battery without syncing first and that data is gone. Sync to ActiveSync or Windows Mobile Device Center before you pop the cell.

Why the Wing loses all open data the moment the battery comes out

Windows Mobile devices like the Wing use SRAM for working memory, not flash. SRAM needs continuous power to hold its state — the moment the battery is removed, that memory clears. This affects open documents, unsaved contacts, running application state, and sometimes the Today screen configuration. The Wing has no supercapacitor or backup cell to bridge the gap during a swap, so power removal equals data removal. A full ActiveSync backup before the swap is the only protection.

Wing won't boot after new battery installed

A freshly shipped Li-Polymer cell often arrives below 3.0V after storage in transit. The Wing's boot ROM checks the voltage rail before starting the kernel, and if the cell reads too low, the device simply won't respond to the power button. This is not a fault with the battery or the device. Plug the Wing into its charger and leave it for at least 60 minutes before attempting to power on — the charge controller will bring the cell up from low voltage first, and the device will boot normally once the cell clears approximately 3.4V.

Frequently Asked Questions

My Wing lost all my contacts and open notes when I swapped the battery — is that normal?

Yes, and it's the device architecture, not a fault with the battery. The Wing stores working data in SRAM, which requires continuous power from the main cell — cut the power and the RAM clears instantly. Before any future swap, run a full sync through ActiveSync or Windows Mobile Device Center to push your data to the host PC first.

Wing won't turn on after I installed the new battery — nothing happens when I press the power button.

The cell likely arrived below the boot threshold after storage. The Wing checks the battery voltage before it starts the boot sequence, and a depleted cell will cause it to appear completely dead. Connect the device to its charger and leave it for at least an hour before pressing the power button — the cell needs to reach approximately 3.4V before the Wing will boot.

Wireless sync keeps dropping or running very slowly since I put in the new battery — what's going on?

The Wing's radio draws significantly more power than standby, and a cell that hasn't completed its first full charge will sag under that load. Voltage sag causes the radio to throttle or drop the connection entirely. Charge the battery to 100% before attempting an ActiveSync Wi-Fi or Bluetooth sync session, and confirm the battery indicator shows a full charge — not just "charging."
