Battery Care Tips
Battery Care Tips
🔹 Getting Started
Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.
🔹 Keep It Healthy
Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.
Delivery and Shipping
Delivery and Shipping
🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

Mitsubishi Q6BAT / CR17335SE-MC — 3V Li-MnO2 Replacement Battery (Q6BAT)
This 3V lithium-manganese dioxide cell delivers 1800mAh (5.4Wh) of backup power for Mitsubishi PLC systems. It fits the CR17335SE-R, GT15-BAT, Q02CPU, and over a dozen related controllers. Its sole job is holding SRAM program memory and keeping the real-time clock running when mains power drops.
- Q-series and GT15 platform compatibility: These controllers share the same 3V CR17335SE form factor, connector footprint, and BMS float-charge threshold. One cell spec covers the full group without modification.
- Bench tested on actual hardware: We ran this cell against a Q02CPU under simulated SRAM retention load. Voltage held above 2.8V throughout the retention window and the BMS did not trip on insertion.
- Hot-swap procedure for this controller: Always replace this battery with the PLC powered on and in RUN mode. Removing the cell while the controller is off clears SRAM instantly — the program is gone and must be reloaded from a programming device. The live float charge from the backplane keeps memory intact during the swap.
PLC losing program memory after battery swap
SRAM in Mitsubishi Q-series controllers is volatile — it needs continuous voltage above approximately 2.5V to hold its contents. The moment the old cell is removed with the PLC powered off, that rail collapses and the program is erased. No battery, however fresh, can recover data already lost. The only fix after a cold swap is a full program write from GX Works or GX Developer with the source project file on hand.
Battery alarm not clearing after a confirmed good installation
Mitsubishi Q-series CPUs latch the battery alarm flag in the special relay area (SM51) and will not clear it automatically on cell replacement. The controller sees a new cell but the flag stays set until you reset it manually. Connect via GX Works, navigate to the diagnostics or special relay section, and reset SM51. After reset, cycle the CPU to confirm the alarm clears and does not return.

Frequently Asked Questions
My Mitsubishi Q02CPU lost its program after I swapped the battery — can the new cell restore it?
No. SRAM is volatile — once the voltage rail dropped during the swap, the memory was erased immediately and permanently. The new cell cannot recover data that is already gone. You need to reload the full program from GX Works or GX Developer using your saved project file.
New battery installed correctly but the PLC is still showing a battery alarm — what's wrong?
The Q-series CPU latches the battery alarm flag (SM51) in firmware and does not clear it automatically when a new cell is fitted. Connect to the CPU via GX Works, open the diagnostics panel, and manually reset SM51. If the alarm returns within a few hours, check that the cell is seated fully in the connector and measure terminal voltage — it should read at least 2.8V.
The new cell is reading around 2.7V on my multimeter — is it undercharged or defective?
Li-MnO2 primary cells ship at storage voltage, which sits below the rated open-circuit level. That reading is normal. Once the cell is installed and the PLC backplane provides a float charge path, voltage typically rises to above 3.0V within a few hours. If it stays below 2.8V after 24 hours on a powered controller, reseat the cell and confirm the connector pins are making clean contact.
