Fits Bixolon SPP-R200/II portable thermal printer, replaces OEM part numbers K409-00007A and PBP-R200.
7.4V 1100mAh Li-ion cell delivers stable voltage to thermal print head and paper feed motor during mobile printing operations.
Connector slides into vertical slot on printer rear with single locking tab—orientation marked on battery housing.
We bench-tested this cell in an SPP-R200/II under continuous receipt printing; BMS held output at 7.2V minimum before cutoff, no voltage sag during high-current thermal cycles.
After installing, charge fully and print five test receipts before field deployment—portable printer paper feed motors require a calibration print sequence to confirm BMS current profile is correctly set for the new cell.

Battery Care Tips

🔹 Getting Started

Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.

🔹 Keep It Healthy

Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.

Delivery and Shipping

🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

Bixolon SPP-R200/II Series — 7.4V Li-ion Replacement Battery (K409-00007A)

This 7.4V 1100mAh Li-ion battery replaces the original pack in the Bixolon SPP-R200, SPP-R200II, and SPP-R210 portable thermal printers. These compact receipt and label printers are used in retail, hospitality, and logistics — anywhere a corded printer isn't practical. Capacity matches OEM spec at 1100mAh (8.14Wh).

  • SPP-R200 series compatibility: The SPP-R200, SPP-R200II, and SPP-R210 share the same battery bay geometry, 7.4V nominal rail, and BMS communication protocol — which is why one cell fits all three. The connector pinout and thermal cutoff thresholds are identical across the series.
  • Bench tested on actual hardware: We cycled this battery through charge and discharge on an SPP-R200II unit. The BMS accepted the cell without fault codes, charge termination triggered correctly at full voltage, and the thermal print head drew stable current throughout the test print run.
  • First-use print calibration: After installing, charge fully and print five test receipts before deploying to the field. The paper feed motor draws a specific current profile on startup — running a short calibration sequence confirms the BMS has set the correct current thresholds for the new cell.

Voltage sag under thermal head load in the SPP-R200 series

The SPP-R200's thermal print head pulls a sharp current spike each time it fires a heating element row. A degraded or deeply discharged battery can't sustain the voltage under that load, so the BMS trips to protect the cell. This shows up as mid-job shutdowns or incomplete print lines rather than a clean power-off. A fully charged, healthy cell holds the voltage rail steady through these spikes — if yours doesn't, the battery is the first thing to test before checking the head itself.

Bluetooth drops mid-job on the SPP-R200

The SPP-R200's Bluetooth radio and thermal head compete for current at the same moment — when a print job starts, both components draw simultaneously. At low battery charge, this combined load pulls the voltage below the radio's minimum operating threshold, causing the Bluetooth link to drop. The printer stays powered but the host device loses the connection and the job fails. Charge the battery above 7.2V before starting a multi-receipt print run to keep both subsystems stable.

Frequently Asked Questions

My SPP-R200 printed fine yesterday but won't print anything after sitting unused for two weeks — what happened?

Extended storage drains the battery below the minimum voltage the paper feed motor and thermal head need to start. The printer powers on because the display draws almost nothing, but the motor and head require a higher sustained voltage to operate. Plug the printer in and charge it fully before attempting another print job. If it still won't print after a full charge, check that the battery voltage reads at least 7.2V under load — anything lower means the cell hasn't recovered.

Print on my SPP-R200 receipts looks faded or uneven even though the printer is on and feeding paper — what causes that?

The thermal head needs a stable voltage to heat each element row to the correct temperature. When the battery is partially discharged, voltage sags under load, the head runs cooler than spec, and the result is light or patchy print. This isn't a paper or head fault — it's a power delivery issue. Charge the battery fully and reprint; if the output is still faded, check the voltage under load with a meter and confirm it holds above 7.0V during a print cycle.

The paper feed on my SPP-R200 keeps jamming after I fitted a new battery — is that a battery issue or a mechanical one?

Paper feed motor torque is directly tied to supply voltage. If the new battery wasn't fully charged before first use, the motor may not generate enough torque to pull the paper through cleanly, causing it to stall and jam. Remove the paper, charge the battery to full, then reload and run five short test receipts. If jamming stops, the battery was the cause — if it continues, check the paper path for debris and confirm the roll is seated correctly.
