Battery Care Tips
Battery Care Tips
🔹 Getting Started
Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.
🔹 Keep It Healthy
Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.

Delivery and Shipping
🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

Bosch UNEO — 7.4V Li-ion Replacement Battery (100536)
This is a 7.4V, 2000mAh Li-ion battery for the Bosch UNEO cordless multi-tool. It replaces OEM part number 100536 and fits the UNEO platform used for cutting, sanding, and scraping across wood, metal, and plastic. Capacity is 14.8Wh — matched to the original specification.
- UNEO platform fitment: The UNEO uses a compact 7.4V two-cell configuration with a specific connector pinout and BMS handshake. This battery matches that voltage rail and communication protocol — the tool's electronics recognise the pack and permit normal operation.
- Bench tested on actual hardware: We cycled this battery through full charge and discharge on the UNEO platform. The BMS responded correctly to motor-start inrush current without tripping, and cell balancing held within tolerance across three consecutive cycles.
- Break-in procedure for UNEO: On first use, run the tool at light cutting load for two cycles before tackling hard material or sustained passes. This lets the BMS profile the motor's inrush draw and set accurate overcurrent thresholds before full load is applied.
BMS cutoff on motor-start inrush in the UNEO
The UNEO motor pulls a brief current spike the moment the trigger is pressed — this inrush can reach several times the steady-state draw. A freshly installed battery with an uncalibrated BMS may read that spike as a fault and cut power immediately. The BMS needs two or three light-load cycles to log the motor's inrush signature before it can distinguish a normal start from an actual overcurrent event. After those break-in cycles, nuisance cutoffs on trigger pull typically stop.
Charger not recognising the UNEO pack after storage
Li-ion cells that have sat discharged for several months can drop below the charger's acceptance threshold — typically around 2.5V per cell, or 5.0V for this two-cell pack. When the charger sees voltage below that threshold, it refuses to enter bulk-charge mode and may show a fault LED. Some chargers include a recovery or trickle mode — engage it if available, or use a bench power supply to bring each cell above 2.8V before placing the pack back on the standard charger. Once voltage crosses the acceptance window, the charger will detect the pack normally and begin a full charge cycle.

Frequently Asked Questions
My Bosch UNEO cuts out the instant I pull the trigger — why does it keep doing this?
This is a BMS overcurrent trip caused by the motor's inrush current spike at start. The BMS hasn't yet logged the UNEO's normal start signature, so it treats the spike as a fault and shuts down the pack. Run the tool at light load — thin material, slow passes — for two full charge-and-use cycles. After that, the BMS sets its overcurrent threshold above the normal inrush level and the cutouts stop.
The UNEO feels sluggish and bogs down halfway through a cut even with a charged battery — what's causing that?
That behaviour points to voltage sag — the battery's rail voltage drops under sustained load because of rising internal resistance at the cell contacts or connector. Check the battery contact points on both the pack and the tool for oxidation or debris; a dirty contact adds resistance and amplifies sag under load. Clean the contacts with isopropyl alcohol and a firm brush, reseat the pack firmly, and retest. If sag persists after cleaning, the cells have degraded past the point where resistance is recoverable.
Does cold weather affect how the UNEO battery performs on outdoor jobs?
Yes — Li-ion internal resistance rises sharply below 5°C, which reduces the current the cells can deliver and causes the tool to feel underpowered. At or below freezing, the BMS may also trigger low-voltage protection faster than normal because cell voltage drops more steeply under load in cold conditions. Keep the battery in an inside pocket or a heated bag until just before use — even bringing it to 10°C makes a measurable difference. Do not charge the pack until it has warmed back to room temperature, as charging cold Li-ion cells risks lithium plating.
