Battery Care Tips
Battery Care Tips
🔹 Getting Started
Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.
🔹 Keep It Healthy
Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.
Delivery and Shipping
Delivery and Shipping
🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

Dreme 7300-N/8 & MiniMite Series — 4.8V Ni-MH Replacement Battery (755-01)
This is a 4.8V, 1500mAh Ni-MH replacement battery for the Dreme 7300-N/8 and MiniMite 4.8-Volt Cordless Two-Speed Rotary Tool. It replaces OEM part number 755-01. Fits the compact battery bay on both models without modification.
- 7300-N/8 and MiniMite compatibility: Both models run the same 4.8V voltage rail, share the same physical connector, and use identical BMS handshake logic — which is why one cell pack covers the full lineup. Swapping between these two models is not an issue at the electrical level.
- Bench tested on actual hardware: We ran this pack through repeated trigger-pull cycles on the 7300-N/8, monitoring the BMS response to motor-start inrush current. The overcurrent protection threshold held consistently without false trips across both speed settings.
- First-use load conditioning: On initial use, run the tool at low speed for the first two cycles before switching to high-speed or high-torque applications. This gives the BMS time to profile the motor's inrush draw and set accurate overcurrent thresholds before you push the tool hard.
BMS cutoff on motor-start inrush in the 7300-N/8
The 7300-N/8 draws a short inrush spike at the moment the trigger is pulled — especially on high speed. Ni-MH packs that have been sitting in storage have elevated internal resistance, which amplifies the voltage dip at that inrush moment. The BMS reads that dip as an overcurrent event and cuts power to protect the cells. Running two low-speed conditioning cycles before full-load use lowers internal resistance enough to prevent false BMS trips on trigger pull.
Charger not recognising the pack after storage
Ni-MH cells self-discharge during storage, and if the pack drops below roughly 3.6V total (0.9V per cell average), many OEM chargers refuse to begin a charge cycle. The charger's acceptance circuit expects a minimum voltage before it activates — it's not a charger fault or a dead battery. To recover the pack, use a Ni-MH charger with a trickle or recovery mode to bring the pack up to at least 4.0V before switching to normal charge. Once the pack reads above 4.0V, standard charging resumes normally.

Frequently Asked Questions
My Dreme 7300-N/8 cuts out the instant I pull the trigger — is this the battery or the tool?
This is almost always the battery, not the tool. A Ni-MH pack that's been in storage builds internal resistance, and the motor-start inrush spike causes a voltage dip the BMS reads as an overcurrent fault — cutting power immediately. Run two slow, low-speed cycles first to condition the pack and reduce internal resistance. If it still trips on trigger pull after conditioning, check the contact terminals in the battery bay for oxidation and clean them with a dry cloth before retesting.
The tool runs fine at first but bogs down and feels weak after a few minutes of use — what's happening?
That's voltage sag under sustained load — the cells can't maintain the voltage rail as they heat up and internal resistance climbs. On the 7300-N/8, this shows up as a noticeable drop in rotary speed during extended routing or sanding passes. Check that the battery contacts are clean and seating fully, since high contact resistance makes sag worse. If contacts are clean and sag still occurs early in a charge cycle, the pack needs a full discharge-recharge cycle to re-baseline the cell capacity.
The new battery won't charge in cold weather — the charger just sits there doing nothing. What's the fix?
Ni-MH internal resistance rises sharply below about 10°C, and most OEM chargers for the MiniMite line include a temperature-detection step that blocks charging when the pack reads too cold. The charger isn't broken — it's waiting for the pack to warm up. Bring the battery indoors and let it sit at room temperature (around 20°C) for 30 minutes before placing it back on the charger. Once the pack reaches ambient temperature, the charger should begin the charge cycle within a few seconds of reconnection.
