Fits Einhell RT-CD 14 drill-driver; replaces OEM part 45.113.14.
14.4V and 2000mAh capacity deliver stable voltage for fastening and drilling without sag under moderate load.
Slide-on connector orients flat against the drill housing; locking tab seats flush with no force required.
We bench-tested this cell on motor start inrush — BMS accepted the current spike without nuisance cutoff.
On first use, run the drill at half trigger for two cycles before full-torque fastening; allows the BMS to profile motor inrush before locking overcurrent thresholds.

Battery Care Tips

🔹 Getting Started

Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.

🔹 Keep It Healthy

Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.

Delivery and Shipping

🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

Einhell RT-CD 14 Series — 14.4V Li-ion Replacement Battery (45.113.14)

This is a 14.4V, 2000mAh lithium-ion replacement battery for the Einhell RT-CD 14 cordless drill-driver. It fits the RT-CD 14, 4/1 Li, and model 4513298. The cell chemistry, connector, and BMS communication match the original Einhell pack specification.

  • RT-CD 14 and 4513298 platform fit: These models share the same 14.4V rail, battery form factor, and BMS handshake protocol. The connector pinout and latch geometry are consistent across this production run, so the pack seats and communicates correctly without modification.
  • Bench tested on actual hardware: We ran this pack on the RT-CD 14 platform through trigger-pull cycles and monitored the BMS response to motor-start inrush current. The overcurrent threshold held correctly and the pack resumed normal operation after each draw event without tripping into lockout.
  • Break-in load management: On first use, run the drill at half torque for two full charge-and-discharge cycles before applying maximum load. This lets the BMS profile the motor's inrush current signature and set accurate overcurrent thresholds before you push it into hardwood or metal.

BMS cutoff on RT-CD 14 motor-start inrush surge

When you pull the trigger on a cordless drill, the motor draws a brief spike of current well above its steady running load. On the RT-CD 14, this inrush can hit several times the normal draw in the first milliseconds. A new or recently stored pack may have its BMS overcurrent threshold set conservatively, causing it to cut power the instant the motor starts. Running two break-in cycles at reduced torque gives the BMS enough data to widen its threshold to match actual motor behaviour.

Charger not recognising the pack after storage

Li-ion cells self-discharge slowly during storage, and if a pack drops below roughly 2.5V per cell, most chargers will refuse to begin a charge cycle — the voltage is too low for the charger's acceptance window. You'll typically see a blinking red LED or no response at all. To recover the pack, check each cell group with a multimeter; if any group reads below 2.5V, a compatible lithium recovery charger can apply a low-current precharge pulse to bring cells back above the acceptance threshold. Once the pack reads above 3.0V per cell, the standard Einhell charger will take over normally.

Frequently Asked Questions

My RT-CD 14 cuts out the instant I pull the trigger on a tough bit — is the battery faulty?

This is a BMS overcurrent trip, not a defective cell. The motor-start inrush current on a drill under load spikes hard in the first few milliseconds, and a new or cold pack may have a conservative overcurrent threshold that fires before the motor settles. Run the drill at half load for two full cycles first — this lets the BMS learn the motor's actual inrush profile before you apply full torque. If it still cuts out after break-in, check that the battery terminals are clean and seated fully; contact resistance raises apparent current draw at the BMS sense circuit.

The drill bogs down and loses torque mid-screw even though the battery shows charged — what's happening?

This is voltage sag under load — the pack's cell internal resistance is causing the voltage rail to drop when current demand rises, and the drill's electronics throttle output to protect themselves. Check the battery contact rails on both the tool and pack for corrosion or debris; even a thin oxide layer adds resistance and worsens sag. If contacts are clean, the cells themselves may have degraded from repeated shallow cycling — Li-ion cells cycled between 80–100% without full discharge lose capacity faster. Letting the pack discharge to around 20% before recharging slows this degradation.

The drill runs fine indoors but feels noticeably weak on a cold morning outside — is something wrong?

Nothing is wrong — Li-ion internal resistance increases significantly below 5°C, which reduces the current the cells can deliver and lowers the effective voltage under load. At 0°C a 14.4V pack can sag enough under motor load to feel like a half-charged battery. Warm the pack indoors to at least 15°C before use on cold days; even 10 minutes at room temperature brings internal resistance back into a normal range. Never try to charge the pack when it's below 5°C — lithium plating on the anode can permanently reduce capacity.
