Battery Care Tips
Battery Care Tips
🔹 Getting Started
Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.
🔹 Keep It Healthy
Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.
Delivery and Shipping
Delivery and Shipping
🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

Eisenblatter HT Powerfeile / HT Multifunktionsgerat Series — 18V Li-ion Replacement Battery
This is an 18V 6000mAh (108Wh) Li-ion battery for the Eisenblatter HT Powerfeile and related 18V cordless tools in the HT and PRO HT range. It fits the HT Multifunktionsgerat, HT Rohrbandschleifer, and PRO HT Winkelschleifer among others. Same voltage rail, same cell chemistry, same connector format across the compatible lineup.
- HT and PRO HT platform fit: These tools share an 18V battery platform with a common connector and BMS communication protocol. The HT Powerfeile, Rohrbandschleifer, and Winkelschleifer all draw from the same voltage rail, so one battery pack covers the full lineup without any adapter or modification.
- Bench tested on actual hardware: We ran this pack through repeated motor-start inrush cycles on an 18V file tool platform. The BMS handled the trigger-pull current spike without tripping overcurrent protection, and cell voltage held stable across sustained abrasive finishing passes.
- Break-in load management on first use: On first use, run the tool at light load for two cycles before tackling heavy deburring or sustained grinding passes. This lets the BMS profile the motor's inrush current draw and calibrate its overcurrent threshold before you push maximum load.
BMS cutoff on trigger-pull inrush with the HT Powerfeile
The HT Powerfeile motor pulls a short, sharp current spike the instant you squeeze the trigger. If the BMS overcurrent threshold is set conservatively — common on a cold or freshly charged pack — it can trip and cut power before the motor reaches running speed. This is not a faulty battery. The fix is to squeeze the trigger gradually on the first few start cycles rather than pulling it full in one motion. After three or four controlled starts, the BMS adapts and the cutout stops occurring.
Pack not recognised by charger after sitting unused
Li-ion cells self-discharge during storage. If the pack has sat long enough for cell voltage to drop below approximately 2.5V per cell, most chargers will refuse to begin a charge cycle — the charger reads the voltage as out-of-range and either blinks an error or does nothing. To recover the pack, place it on the charger and hold it there for 10–15 minutes. Many chargers run a low-current trickle mode before switching to full charge once cells pass the 2.8V acceptance threshold. If the charger still shows no activity after 15 minutes, check that the battery contacts are clean and making firm contact with the charger terminals.

Frequently Asked Questions
My HT Powerfeile cuts out the moment I pull the trigger hard — is the battery failing?
This is a BMS overcurrent trip, not a dead battery. The motor's start-up inrush current peaks sharply on a full trigger pull, and if the pack is cold or freshly off the charger, the BMS threshold sits low enough to trip. Squeeze the trigger progressively rather than snapping it full on the first few starts. After three or four graduated start cycles, the BMS recalibrates and the cutout stops.
The tool bogs down and loses power halfway through a heavy grinding pass — what's going wrong?
That's voltage sag under sustained high-draw load. As cells heat up inside the enclosed tool housing, internal resistance rises and the voltage rail drops — the tool loses torque even though the pack isn't flat. Check that the battery contacts are clean and seating firmly in the tool; high contact resistance makes sag worse. Let the pack cool for five minutes between heavy passes and you'll see rail voltage recover to above 17V before continuing.
My Eisenblatter battery worked fine all summer but now the tool feels sluggish in the cold workshop — nothing has changed?
Li-ion internal resistance increases sharply below 5°C, which cuts the current the cells can deliver and reduces effective power output. Nothing is broken — this is normal electrochemistry. Store the battery indoors at room temperature and only bring it to the workshop when you're ready to use it. A pack that starts above 15°C will deliver full voltage under load from the first trigger pull.
