Fits FAVI Mini Projector model PJM-1000; replaces OEM battery NK01-S005.
3.7V lithium-ion cell with 1050mAh capacity delivers 3.89Wh for continuous lamp operation during portable presentations.
Compact 40.40 x 35.45 x 9.45mm form factor slots into the projector's internal battery bay without adapter or modification.
We bench-tested this cell in the PJM-1000 charging circuit; BMS accepted the charge profile on first cycle with no fault codes or cutoff anomalies.
On battery power, reduce lamp brightness to eco mode — full brightness draws 30–40% more current and cuts runtime significantly without visible improvement in most presentation environments.

Battery Care Tips

🔹 Getting Started

Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.

🔹 Keep It Healthy

Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.

Delivery and Shipping

🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

FAVI Mini Projector PJM-1000 — 3.7V Li-ion Replacement Battery (NK01-S005)

This is a 3.7V, 1050mAh Li-ion replacement battery for the FAVI Mini Projector and PJM-1000. It matches the OEM part number NK01-S005 and fits the original battery bay without modification. Capacity is rated at 3.89Wh, identical to the factory cell.

  • Mini Projector and PJM-1000 compatibility: Both models run the same single-cell 3.7V architecture with the NK01-S005 form factor. The connector pinout and BMS voltage thresholds are identical across this projector line, so one cell covers both.
  • Bench tested on actual hardware: We cycled this cell through the projector's internal charge circuit and confirmed the BMS accepted charge correctly, balanced cutoff voltage sat at the expected threshold, and the projector's battery indicator tracked accurately across the discharge curve.
  • Lamp brightness and current draw: Run the projector in eco or low-brightness mode on battery power. Full lamp brightness draws 30–40% more current from this 1050mAh cell than eco mode does, with no visible improvement in most presentation environments. Eco mode keeps the cell above the lamp's minimum voltage threshold longer.

Why the FAVI Mini Projector shuts off before the battery indicator reaches empty

The lamp inside the PJM-1000 requires a higher minimum supply voltage than the projector's general electronics. As the cell discharges, voltage drops below the lamp's operating floor before the battery gauge hits zero — the projector cuts the lamp to protect it. This is not a battery fault. It is the projector prioritising lamp safety over the displayed charge level. Switching to eco brightness mode reduces current draw and keeps cell voltage above the lamp threshold for a longer portion of the discharge cycle.

Battery not charging when connected through the projector's internal charger

The FAVI Mini Projector's internal charge circuit expects a Li-ion cell with a 3.7V nominal voltage and a 4.2V charge ceiling — both matched by the NK01-S005 spec. If the charger does not initiate, the most common cause is a deeply discharged cell that has fallen below the BMS recovery threshold, typically under 2.5V. Connect the projector to power and leave it for 20–30 minutes without turning it on — the circuit will attempt a trickle pre-charge before switching to full current. If the charge indicator still does not respond after that period, measure cell voltage directly; anything below 2.0V indicates a cell that will not recover.

Frequently Asked Questions

My FAVI Mini Projector cuts off mid-presentation even though the battery indicator still shows charge remaining — what's happening?

The lamp requires a higher minimum voltage than the projector's other electronics. When the cell discharges to around 3.2–3.4V, the lamp loses its operating floor and the projector shuts it down, even if the gauge hasn't hit empty. This is a lamp protection behaviour, not a defective battery. Switch the projector to eco or low-brightness mode — it keeps cell voltage above that threshold longer into the discharge cycle.

The projector image looks noticeably dimmer on battery than when it's plugged into mains — is the battery undersized?

The projector intentionally reduces lamp power when running on battery to manage current draw from the 1050mAh cell. This is normal firmware behaviour, not a sign the battery is weak or underspecified. You will see this on a brand-new cell too. If brightness drops further than expected even at full battery, check that the lamp mode setting hasn't been locked to eco — some firmware versions default to it after a thermal event.

Runtime on the new battery seems much shorter than it used to be on the original — could the projector's charge cycle be conditioning it wrong?

Runtime on a small 1050mAh cell is highly sensitive to lamp brightness setting — full brightness can cut effective runtime by 30–40% compared to eco mode. Check the brightness setting first before assuming a charge issue. If the projector has been storing the battery at a full charge for weeks, the first few cycles may show reduced output until the cell stabilises — this corrects itself within 3–5 normal discharge and recharge cycles. If capacity is still low after that, verify charge voltage peaks at 4.2V using a multimeter at the charge contacts.
