Battery Care Tips
Battery Care Tips
🔹 Getting Started
Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.
🔹 Keep It Healthy
Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.

Delivery and Shipping
🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

ZTE SPro2 Smart Projector / MF97V — 3.8V Li-Polymer Replacement Battery (Li3863T43P6HA03715)
This 3.8V, 6200mAh (23.56Wh) lithium-polymer battery replaces the OEM Li3863T43P6HA03715 cell in the ZTE MF97V and SPro2 Smart Projector. It fits the SRQ-MF97V variant as well. All three models share the same cell format, connector, and BMS handshake protocol.
- MF97V, SPro2, and SRQ-MF97V compatibility: These three models run off the same battery bay, voltage rail, and BMS communication line. ZTE did not change the cell specification across the variants — same part number fits all three without modification.
- Bench tested on actual hardware: We ran the battery through charge and discharge cycles on SPro2 hardware. The BMS accepted the cell without error flags, voltage held steady under lamp load, and the protection circuit tripped correctly at the low-voltage threshold.
- Lamp brightness setting on battery power: Set the projector to eco or low-brightness mode when running on battery. Full lamp brightness draws 30–40% more current than eco mode. That extra draw shortens your session noticeably without a visible improvement in most indoor presentation environments.
Why the SPro2 shuts off before the battery indicator reaches empty
The projector lamp requires a higher minimum cell voltage than the battery's nominal cutoff point. When the cell drops below roughly 3.4V under lamp load, the projector's power management cuts the lamp even though the indicator may still show a partial charge. This is a voltage-sag issue, not a defective battery — it happens most often with aged cells that can no longer hold voltage under high-current draw. A fresh cell with full capacity holds above that threshold longer into the discharge cycle.
Battery shows full charge but projector won't start
A battery that reads full voltage on a meter but won't start the projector has usually tripped its BMS over-discharge protection — often after sitting discharged for several weeks. The BMS locks the output circuit and won't release it on a standard charge attempt. Connect the battery via the projector's charging port and leave it on charge for at least 30–45 minutes before attempting to power on. If the BMS re-initialises, the cell voltage will recover to above 3.6V and the projector will boot normally.

Frequently Asked Questions
My ZTE SPro2 projector cuts off mid-presentation even though the battery still shows charge — what's happening?
The lamp draws enough current that cell voltage sags below the projector's minimum operating threshold before the indicator reaches empty. It's a voltage floor issue, not a faulty reading. Running the projector in eco brightness mode reduces lamp current draw and keeps cell voltage above the cutoff point longer. If the problem persists with a new battery, check that the lamp mode is set to low or eco before starting your session.
The SPro2 lamp looks noticeably dimmer on battery than when plugged into mains — is something wrong with the battery?
Nothing is wrong. The SPro2 deliberately reduces lamp power output when running on battery to manage current draw from the cell. This is a firmware-level power management decision, not a battery defect. You can partially offset it by ensuring the battery is fully charged before use, since a fully charged cell holds a higher voltage and the projector's lamp driver performs better closer to peak cell voltage (around 4.2V).
The ZTE MF97V battery isn't charging through the projector's built-in charger — the indicator just blinks and stops.
The internal charger on the MF97V checks cell chemistry and voltage before initiating a charge cycle. If the replacement cell voltage is too low on arrival (below approximately 3.0V), the charger may reject it as out-of-range. Use a compatible external Li-Polymer charger set to 3.8V nominal to trickle the cell up to 3.2V first, then reinsert it into the projector. Once the cell is above the charger's minimum acceptance threshold, the projector's internal charger will take over normally.
