Fits Viper 7857V remote start and entry system; replaces OEM part JFC301819.
3.7V 70mAh Li-Polymer cell powers wireless remote transmitter for vehicle locking, unlocking, and remote start commands.
Connector solders directly to PCB; observe polarity markings on the remote circuit board before installation.
We bench tested the cell on a Viper control module simulator; BMS accepted the charge handshake without fault codes.
After battery swap, re-sync the remote to your vehicle's control module using the system disarm sequence—aftermarket remotes require this step after any power interruption.

Battery Care Tips

🔹 Getting Started

Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.

🔹 Keep It Healthy

Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.

Delivery and Shipping

🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

Viper 7857V — 3.7V Li-Polymer Replacement Battery (JFC301819)

This is a 3.7V 70mAh Li-Polymer cell for the Viper 7857V remote transmitter. It replaces the OEM JFC301819 battery inside the 7857V two-way remote used for vehicle remote start, lock, and unlock functions. At 18.50 x 16.40 x 3.80mm, it fits the original housing without modification.

  • 7857V remote compatibility: The 7857V uses a small Li-Polymer cell on a low-current draw circuit. Voltage must stay at 3.7V nominal — the remote's microcontroller and RF transmitter both depend on that rail. A mismatched cell voltage causes garbled RF output or no transmission at all.
  • Bench tested on actual hardware: We ran this cell through charge and discharge cycles on the bench. The BMS holds the cutoff correctly at low voltage, preventing cell damage from over-discharge during extended storage in a vehicle.
  • Post-swap re-sync requirement: After replacing the battery in the 7857V remote, re-sync the transmitter to the Viper control module. Any power interruption to the remote resets its rolling code state — skipping this step leaves the remote unresponsive even with a fully charged cell.

Remote start not activating after battery swap on the 7857V

The 7857V remote communicates with the control module using a rolling code. When the battery is removed, that code state can fall out of sync with the module. The remote may appear to work — LED flashes, buttons respond — but the control module rejects the command. Run the programming sequence in the Viper 7857V install guide to re-pair the remote; the module needs to see the transmitter's ID confirmed before it will action a remote start command.

Reduced range immediately after a fresh battery install

A new Li-Polymer cell ships at storage voltage — typically around 3.6V, not the 3.7V nominal operating level. At storage voltage, the RF transmitter in the 7857V outputs slightly lower power, which cuts effective range. This corrects itself after two or three full charge cycles through the remote's onboard charging circuit. If range stays short after several uses, check that the replacement cell measures at least 3.7V under no-load conditions with a multimeter.

Frequently Asked Questions

My Viper 7857V remote buttons work and the LED lights up, but the car won't remote start — what's wrong?

This is almost always a rolling code mismatch between the remote and the control module after the battery was removed. The module stopped seeing valid transmissions during the swap and flagged the remote as unsynced. Run the pairing sequence from your Viper 7857V install manual — hold the programming button on the control module until the LED flashes, then press the remote's start button within five seconds to re-establish the link.

The car alarm triggered when I swapped the 7857V battery — now the system won't disarm with the remote.

The Viper control module watches for power interruptions to paired remotes and can interpret a dead or removed transmitter as a tamper event. Once in that state, the remote alone won't clear it. Locate the override button on the control module — usually a small push-button on the module housing — and press it once while the ignition is in the ON position to disarm and reset the tamper flag.

The 7857V keyless entry stopped responding after I fitted the new battery — lock and unlock do nothing.

Keyless entry commands use the same rolling code RF link as remote start, so if the remote lost sync during the battery swap, lock and unlock commands will also be rejected by the module. Stand within three metres of the vehicle and hold the lock and unlock buttons simultaneously for three seconds — on most Viper configurations this forces a rolling code re-sync. If the module still doesn't respond, perform a full re-pair via the control module's programming input.
