Battery Care Tips
Battery Care Tips
🔹 Getting Started
Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.
🔹 Keep It Healthy
Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.
Delivery and Shipping
Delivery and Shipping
🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

Logitech Harmony Touch / Ultimate Series — 3.7V Li-ion Replacement Battery (533-000084)
This is a 3.7V, 1050mAh Li-ion battery for the Logitech Harmony Touch and Harmony Ultimate series remotes, including the Harmony Ultimate One (915-000198). It replaces OEM part numbers 533-000084, 533-000083, and 1209. When the original cell depletes, this swap restores full remote function without replacing the entire unit.
- Harmony Touch, Ultimate, and Ultimate One compatibility: These models share the same battery bay dimensions, connector orientation, and 3.7V supply rail. The same cell fits all three without modification.
- Bench tested on actual hardware: We ran this cell in a Harmony Touch and verified that the onboard BMS accepted the charge cycle, held the cutoff voltage correctly, and powered the touchscreen and IR emitter through full operating range.
- Touchscreen power threshold: The Harmony Touch runs a capacitive touchscreen alongside its IR emitter — both drawing from the same cell. If the remote powers on but the screen is unresponsive, check that the connector tab is fully seated. A partially connected cell drops below the voltage the screen controller needs before the IR circuit shows any symptom.
Why the Harmony Touch shows a charging indicator but the battery never fills
The Harmony Touch charges through a micro-USB port feeding a small internal charge controller. If the original cell has discharged below roughly 2.5V, that controller may not recognise the battery as valid and will cycle on and off without delivering a full charge. A new cell starts above this threshold, so the charge controller accepts it immediately. If the charge indicator still loops after install, seat the connector firmly — the contact pins on this remote are shallow and a loose fit interrupts the charge path.
Remote stops responding mid-session even though the battery shows as charged
An aged Li-ion cell can report adequate voltage at rest but sag sharply the moment the IR LEDs fire a burst command. The Harmony Touch sends multi-device command strings that trigger several IR pulses in quick succession, which pulls more current than a single-button press. If the cell's internal resistance has risen, voltage drops below the processor's minimum during that burst and the remote resets or drops the command. A fresh cell at 3.7V nominal holds steady through those multi-device bursts. If the issue returns quickly on a new battery, check whether a stuck or jammed button is creating a parasitic draw that drains the cell between uses.

Frequently Asked Questions
I just put in the new battery and the Harmony Touch won't turn on at all — what did I miss?
The most common cause is polarity reversal — the Li-ion cell has a marked positive and negative terminal, and the connector is directional. Flip the connector or re-seat it with the + terminal aligned to the marking inside the bay. If the remote still won't power on after correcting orientation, press and hold the power button for 10 seconds to clear any residual charge in the capacitors before trying again.
The remote works but I have to point it directly at the TV from about half a metre away — it used to work from across the room. Is the new battery too weak?
This happens when the cell voltage is sitting at the lower end of the acceptable range and the IR LEDs aren't receiving enough current to fire at full output power. Check that the connector is fully clicked in — a partial connection creates resistance that drops the voltage reaching the IR emitter circuit. If the connection is solid and the symptom persists, charge the remote fully via micro-USB until the indicator clears, then retest from distance.
The battery drains noticeably faster than the original — could a button be stuck?
Yes, a physically stuck or jammed button creates a continuous draw that runs the cell down even when the remote is sitting idle. Run your thumb firmly across all buttons to confirm none are depressed or catching on the casing edge. The Harmony Touch also has a proximity sensor and touchscreen that stay partially active — if the remote is stored face-down or pressed against an object, those components can trigger repeatedly and accelerate drain. Store the remote face-up and clear of objects to cut parasitic activation.
