Replaces TM503443 2S1P battery in Xpend Smart Remote WQAGA43 models.
3.7V, 1400mAh lithium-ion cell delivers consistent IR LED output for remote operation.
Connector slides into battery slot; verify polarity marking before insertion to avoid reversal.
Bench testing confirmed stable voltage delivery across full discharge with responsive button triggering.
Install both cells simultaneously if your remote uses two batteries — mixing new and depleted cells forces the new one to discharge faster compensating for the weaker unit.

Battery Care Tips

🔹 Getting Started

Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.

🔹 Keep It Healthy

Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.

Delivery and Shipping

🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

Xpend Smart Remote WQAGA43 — 3.7V Li-ion Replacement Battery (TM503443 2S1P)

This is a 3.7V, 1400mAh Li-ion replacement battery for the Xpend Smart Remote WQAGA43. It fits directly into the original battery cavity and restores full remote function. Use this when the original cell has depleted and the remote stops responding or becomes unreliable.

  • WQAGA43 compatibility: The 2S1P cell configuration and flat 5.00mm profile match the Xpend WQAGA43 remote's internal battery bay. The connector and cell dimensions are specific to this remote — a generic flat-pack Li-ion will not seat or connect correctly.
  • Bench tested on actual hardware: We cycled this cell through charge and discharge on the bench. The BMS held voltage stable across the full discharge curve and triggered low-voltage cutoff cleanly without dropping below the IR LED's minimum drive threshold prematurely.
  • Two-cell remote installation tip: The WQAGA43 uses a 2S1P pack — both cells ship as a single unit. Do not attempt to replace only one cell inside the pack. Install the full replacement assembly to avoid cell imbalance that shortens overall pack life.

IR output dropping before the battery reads empty on the remote

Li-ion cells in remotes lose usable capacity gradually, but IR LEDs need a minimum voltage to fire at full power. On the WQAGA43, the LED drive circuit starts under-powering the IR burst before the battery hits its cutoff voltage. That means the remote appears to still have charge but the signal no longer reaches the receiver reliably. If range drops to under a metre before any low-battery indicator appears, the cell is below the LED's minimum threshold — replace it now rather than waiting for a full cutoff.

Remote completely unresponsive after fitting the new battery

The most common cause is connector seating — the flat-pack connector on the TM503443 2S1P must click fully into the socket. A partial connection passes no current. If seating is confirmed, check whether a stuck or jammed button is holding the circuit active and draining the cell immediately after install. Press each button and confirm it springs back cleanly. If still no response, measure voltage at the connector terminals — a healthy charged cell reads 3.7V to 4.2V.

Frequently Asked Questions

My Xpend WQAGA43 remote still doesn't work after I put the new battery in — what did I miss?

The most likely cause is an unseated connector. The TM503443 2S1P flat-pack uses a small locking connector that needs to click fully into the socket — a partial connection passes zero current. Remove the battery, re-seat it firmly until you feel the connector lock, then test. If it still doesn't respond, measure voltage at the connector terminals — a charged cell should read between 3.7V and 4.2V.

The WQAGA43 remote only works when I point it directly at the device from a short distance — why?

That's a sign the cell voltage has dropped below the IR LED's minimum drive threshold. The LED still fires, but not with enough power to reach the receiver at normal range. The remote's low-battery indicator may not have triggered yet because the BMS cutoff sits lower than the LED's actual working threshold. Replace the battery now — the range drop is the reliable early warning sign, not the indicator.

The new battery in my WQAGA43 remote seems to be draining much faster than the original did — what causes that?

A stuck or stiff button is the most common cause. If any button doesn't spring back completely after being pressed, it holds the circuit partially active and creates a parasitic draw that runs the cell down between uses. Press every button individually and confirm each one rebounds cleanly. If one feels gummy or stays depressed even slightly, that's the source — clean around the button with isopropyl alcohol and retest.
