Battery Care Tips

🔹 Getting Started

Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.

🔹 Keep It Healthy

Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.

Delivery and Shipping

🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

Clifford 7941X / 7756X Series — 3.7V Li-Polymer Replacement Battery (JFC302223)

This 3.7V 85mAh Li-Polymer battery replaces the JFC302223 cell inside Clifford remote start and keyless entry transmitters. It fits the 7941X, 7756X, 7756V, and 3706 key fob remotes. Swap it in when your transmitter stops activating the vehicle or loses range.

  • 7941X / 7756X transmitter platform: These Clifford fob models share the same 3.7V Li-Polymer cell footprint, connector pitch, and BMS handshake with the control module. One cell covers the entire group.
  • Bench tested on actual hardware: We cycled this battery through charge and discharge on the bench. The protection circuit held cutoff at the correct low-voltage threshold and the charge curve matched OEM spec without voltage sag mid-cycle.
  • Re-sync after power interruption: Clifford remote start systems lose their transmitter pairing when the fob loses power entirely. After fitting the new cell, run the programming sequence for your specific module — pressing buttons alone will not restore function without it.

Remote start not activating after battery swap

Clifford remote start modules use a rolling code between the transmitter and control unit. When the fob cell drops to zero, that code state is lost. Fitting a fresh battery restores power but does not restore the pairing — the module still expects the last known code sequence. You need to complete the re-sync procedure specific to your Clifford system, which typically involves turning the ignition on and off in a timed sequence while pressing the transmitter button. Without this step, the remote will appear to work but the vehicle will not respond.

Transmitter range still short right after fitting the new cell

Li-Polymer cells ship at storage voltage — typically around 3.6V rather than a full 3.7V charge. At storage voltage, the transmitter's RF output is slightly below its rated power level, which shortens effective range. Use the remote a few times near the vehicle to confirm pairing, then charge the fob via your vehicle's process or let it cycle naturally. Range normalises once the cell reaches full charge voltage.

Frequently Asked Questions

My Clifford remote won't start the car after I put in the new battery — what's wrong?

The control module lost its rolling-code sync when the fob went dead. A new cell restores power but does not restore the pairing. You need to run the Clifford transmitter programming sequence for your specific module — this usually involves a timed ignition cycle while pressing the fob button. Check your system's install guide for the exact step count and timing.

The alarm keeps triggering when I swap the battery in my Clifford fob — how do I stop it?

The control module flags a tamper event when it detects an unexpected power loss on the transmitter side. It interprets the dead-then-live signal as an unauthorised fob. Disarm the system using the dedicated disarm sequence for your Clifford unit — typically a specific button hold or the valet switch — before attempting to re-sync the remote.

My Clifford keyless entry locks and unlocks fine but remote start stopped working after the battery change — are they on different systems?

On Clifford two-way remote start units, keyless entry commands use a simpler signal path that can recover faster after a power interruption. Remote start uses a separate confirmation handshake with the control module that requires a full re-sync sequence to re-establish. The fob's lock and unlock functions working does not confirm the start function is paired. Run the programming sequence and confirm the module acknowledges the start command — the two-way LED on the fob should flash a confirmation when the link is restored.
