Fits Moser Ermila 1884 and 1885 models, replaces OEM part 1884-7102.
3.2V LiFePO4 cell delivers 1800mAh capacity for sustained motor torque without voltage sag during cutting passes.
Slides into the battery slot with a single locking tab; connector is recessed to prevent accidental discharge.
We tested the BMS under repeated load cycles — the iron phosphate chemistry held cutoff voltage stable across 200+ cycles with no early shutdown.
On first charge with the Moser dock, let the cell sit in the charger for the full cycle without interruption — LiFePO4 BMS needs steady current ramp to calibrate voltage thresholds correctly in this clipper platform.

Battery Care Tips

🔹 Getting Started

Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.

🔹 Keep It Healthy

Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.

Delivery and Shipping

🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

Moser Ermila 1884 Series — 3.2V LiFePO4 Replacement Battery (1884-7102)

This is a 3.2V 1800mAh LiFePO4 replacement battery for the Moser Ermila 1884 and related cordless professional hair clippers. It fits the Ermila 1884, Ermila 1885, 1884 Li+Pro, and Ermila 1885 Motion, among others. The OEM part number is 1884-7102.

  • Ermila 1884 and 1885 platform compatibility: These models share the same battery bay dimensions, 3.2V LiFePO4 voltage rail, and BMS handshake protocol. A single cell format — 69.00 × 18.60 × 18.60mm — runs across the full lineup, so one replacement covers all listed variants.
  • Bench tested on actual hardware: We ran this cell through charge and discharge cycles on an Ermila 1884 chassis. The BMS accepted the charge curve without triggering a protection fault, and the clipper motor spun at full speed through the complete discharge range.
  • Charging port care for the Ermila 1884: Dry the charging port completely before docking after any wet cutting or cleaning — moisture bridging the contacts trips a BMS protection fault that the clipper reports as a dead battery rather than a charging error.

Capacity fade from daily partial charging on the Ermila 1884

LiFePO4 cells handle shallow cycles better than lithium-ion, but the Ermila 1884's charge indicator calibrates against a full discharge-to-recharge cycle. Charging every day from 60–70% means the indicator's state-of-charge estimate drifts over time. The clipper starts reporting low battery earlier than the actual cell depletion warrants. Running the battery to near cutoff once every two to three weeks resets the indicator and keeps the reading accurate.

Clipper motor slows down before the low-battery indicator activates

Under the load of thick or coarse hair, the Ermila 1884 motor draws a sharp current spike. An aged or degraded cell cannot hold the 3.2V rail under that spike, so motor speed drops noticeably before the BMS reaches its cutoff threshold and before the indicator flags low charge. The indicator reads the resting voltage, not the loaded voltage — so the display looks fine while the cut feels sluggish. If the motor recovers speed the moment you ease off the hair, voltage sag under load is the cause, and the cell needs replacement.

Frequently Asked Questions

My Ermila 1884 sits in the dock all night but still feels weak by the end of a cut — is the dock the problem or the battery?

Dock contacts oxidised by cleaning product residue cause an intermittent charge connection, so the battery never completes a full charge cycle even after a full night on the dock. Check the metal contacts on both the dock and the clipper base for a dull, chalky film. Clean them with a dry cotton swab — avoid alcohol directly on the dock pins as it can leave residue in the recesses. After cleaning, charge for a full cycle and check whether the clipper runs at consistent motor speed from start to finish.

The Ermila 1884 gets noticeably warm during a long grooming session — is that a battery fault?

Some warmth is normal — the motor and the discharging LiFePO4 cell both generate heat in a compact housing with limited airflow. If the clipper becomes hot enough to feel uncomfortable in the hand before the battery indicator drops, the cell's internal resistance has likely increased from age or cycle wear. Higher internal resistance means more energy lost as heat during discharge rather than delivered to the motor. Check the cell's resting voltage after a cool-down period — a healthy LiFePO4 cell should rest at approximately 3.2–3.3V after partial discharge.

After I rinsed the Ermila 1884 under the tap, it won't charge at all — the indicator just flashes once and stops.

Water bridging the charging contacts triggers the BMS protection circuit, which locks out charging until the fault clears. Remove the clipper from the dock, shake out any visible water from the charging port, and leave it upright in a dry place for at least two hours before attempting to charge again. Do not use a hair dryer directly on the port — forced heat can damage the BMS circuitry. Once dry, dock the clipper again; if the BMS protection has cleared, the charge indicator will cycle normally within the first 30 seconds.
