Battery Care Tips
Battery Care Tips
🔹 Getting Started
Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.
🔹 Keep It Healthy
Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.

Delivery and Shipping
🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

Jandy E33 EOS Wireless Remote — 3.7V Li-ion Replacement Battery (24-0209)
This 3.7V 1800mAh Li-ion battery replaces the OEM cell (part no. 24-0209) inside the Jandy E33 and EOS wireless remote used in residential pool automation systems. The remote controls pumps, heaters, and scheduling features without a wired connection to the control panel. When the original cell fades after two to three seasons, this replacement restores full wireless function.
- E33 and EOS remote compatibility: Both the E33 and EOS remotes share the same 3.7V cell format, connector pinout, and BMS handshake protocol — one battery fits both units without modification.
- Bench tested on actual hardware: We cycled this cell through charge and discharge on the E33 remote platform. The BMS accepted the cell immediately, reached full charge voltage without fault flags, and held stable output across polling intervals.
- Pool environment storage tip: If the remote sits unused through winter, pull the battery before storage. A fully discharged Li-ion cell left in a sealed remote in a pool shed can drop below the BMS recovery threshold after six months and may not accept a charge on reconnection.
Why the E33 remote loses connection to the Jandy control panel after a battery swap
The E33 remote runs a mesh re-join sequence every time power is interrupted — including a battery change. After inserting the new cell, the remote transmits a re-association request to the control panel, which can take 30 to 60 seconds to complete. Pressing buttons during this window causes the remote to queue commands that the panel hasn't yet acknowledged, which looks like an unresponsive remote but isn't. Wait the full 60 seconds before testing any function.
Low battery alert showing immediately after fitting a new cell
A new Li-ion cell shipped from a warehouse can sit for months and arrive at a resting voltage around 3.5V or lower — below the threshold Jandy's firmware uses to clear a low battery warning. The alert is triggered by voltage, not by capacity, so a partially discharged new cell will still show the warning. Place the remote on charge for a full cycle until the indicator clears. Once the cell reaches 4.1–4.2V resting, the alert drops and does not return.

Frequently Asked Questions
My Jandy E33 remote worked fine before I swapped the battery — now it won't control anything. What happened?
The E33 performs a wireless re-join sequence after any power interruption, including a battery change. During this sequence — which runs for up to 60 seconds — the remote is live but not yet linked to the control panel, so button presses appear to do nothing. Set the remote down, wait the full 60 seconds, then test a single function like the pump toggle. If it still doesn't respond after that window, press and hold the pairing button to force a fresh re-association with the panel.
The new battery drains noticeably faster than the original did — is something wrong with the cell?
A faster drain rate on a replacement cell usually points to polling frequency, not the cell itself. The Jandy system queries the remote at set intervals, and if the control panel's polling rate was increased — deliberately or after a firmware update — the remote radio transmits more often and draws more current. Check the control panel's wireless communication settings and confirm the polling interval hasn't changed from its original value. If the interval is correct and drain is still abnormal, check whether any automation schedules are running continuously and keeping the remote in an active state.
The Jandy app shows the remote as offline even though the battery is new and the remote powers on. How do I fix it?
A power interruption clears the control panel's active device table in some Jandy firmware versions, meaning the panel lost the remote's pairing record even though the remote itself still has it stored. The remote being powered on doesn't automatically restore the pairing — the panel needs to re-learn the device. Open the Jandy app, navigate to device settings, remove the E33 remote from the device list, then re-pair it from scratch using the pairing button on the remote. Once the panel logs the new pairing handshake, the app status updates to online within one to two polling cycles.
