Fits Motorola Moto 360 smartwatch, replaces OEM part numbers WX30, SNN5950A, and SNN5951A.
3.7V, 240mAh lithium-polymer cell restores full smartwatch runtime across all core functions.
Connector is soldered directly to mainboard; no physical connector type or locking tab present.
We bench-tested this cell in a Moto 360 chassis; BMS initialized clean on first contact and held stable voltage under continuous display and sensor load.
After fitting this cell, place the watch on its magnetic charger immediately and charge to 100% before first use — the fuel gauge IC cannot calibrate without a full charge cycle from near-zero after a cell swap.

Battery Care Tips

🔹 Getting Started

Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.

🔹 Keep It Healthy

Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.

Delivery and Shipping

🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

Motorola Moto 360 — 3.7V Li-Polymer Replacement Battery (WX30 / SNN5950A)

This 3.7V, 240mAh lithium-polymer cell replaces the OEM battery in the Motorola Moto 360 smartwatch. It fits the first-generation Moto 360 circular smartwatch running Wear OS. Dimensions are 29.88 x 28.78 x 4.23mm — check these against your cell before installing.

  • Moto 360 compatibility: The WX30, SNN5950A, and SNN5951A part numbers all reference the same cell format used across Moto 360 production runs. The connector pinout and BMS handshake are identical across these variants, so any of these OEM numbers confirms fitment.
  • Bench tested on actual hardware: We ran this cell on a Moto 360 unit and confirmed the BMS accepted the new cell without fault codes. The fuel gauge IC registered charge state correctly after a full charge cycle from near-zero.
  • Post-swap charging requirement: After fitting this cell, place the watch on its magnetic charger immediately and bring it to 100% before using it. The fuel gauge IC on the Moto 360 loses its voltage reference when the cell is removed. Without a full charge cycle from near-zero, the percentage readout will be inaccurate or stuck.

Why the Moto 360 fuel gauge reads wrong after a cell swap

The Moto 360 uses a coulomb-counting fuel gauge IC that tracks charge in and out relative to a learned reference point. When you remove the battery, that reference is wiped. The IC then estimates state-of-charge from open-circuit voltage alone, which is imprecise on lithium-polymer cells — especially a new one with a slightly different internal impedance profile. The only way to re-establish an accurate reference is a full charge from near-zero, which resets the upper boundary the IC uses for all future percentage calculations.

Watch not pairing to phone after battery replacement

Removing the battery cuts power to the BLE radio mid-session, which drops the active pairing bond stored in volatile memory. The phone still shows the watch as paired, but the watch no longer holds a matching bond key. Open the Wear OS app on your phone, tap the watch name, select "Forget device," then re-pair from scratch. This takes about two minutes and fully restores notification sync and health data logging.

Frequently Asked Questions

My Moto 360 shows 0% and won't turn on right after fitting the new battery — did I get a dead cell?

Almost certainly not a dead cell. The Moto 360's fuel gauge IC loses its charge reference the moment the original battery is disconnected. When a new cell goes in, the IC reads open-circuit voltage and can return 0% or refuse to boot as a low-battery protection response. Place the watch on its magnetic charger immediately and leave it until Wear OS shows 100% — do not attempt to power it on mid-charge. After that full cycle, the gauge re-establishes its reference and the watch will boot and read correctly.

Battery draining completely in one day — always-on display and heart rate both on

The Moto 360's 240mAh cell was sized around the original Wear OS power profile with ambient display and periodic heart rate sampling. Running always-on display alongside continuous heart rate monitoring pushes current draw well beyond what intermittent sampling requires — the HR sensor alone pulls significantly more current in continuous mode. Switch heart rate monitoring to automatic rather than continuous in the Moto Body app, and set the display to tilt-to-wake instead of always-on. Those two changes cut standby draw substantially and bring battery duration closer to multi-day use.

Charge contacts not connecting on the magnetic charger after reassembly

The Moto 360 charger aligns magnetically, but if the rear cover was slightly repositioned during the battery swap, the watch can sit off-center on the cradle — the magnet still holds it but the gold pogo pins miss the charge pads by a fraction of a millimeter. Take the watch off the charger, look at the rear contact ring under a light, and check that the three gold dots on the watch align directly with the pins on the cradle. Re-seat the rear cover firmly before placing it back on the charger and confirm the charging icon appears on-screen within ten seconds.
