Fits Samsung Gear Live smartwatch model SM-R382; replaces OEM battery EB-BR382FBE.
This 3.7V, 220mAh lithium-polymer cell restores multi-day runtime to your Gear Live.
Connector seats flat into the Gear Live battery slot with no locking tab required.
We bench-tested this cell on full charge cycles; BMS accepted the pack on first insertion.
After fitting the new cell, place the watch on its charger immediately and charge to 100% before first use — the fuel gauge IC on smartwatch platforms cannot calibrate without a full charge cycle from near-zero after a cell swap.

Battery Care Tips

🔹 Getting Started

Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.

🔹 Keep It Healthy

Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.

Delivery and Shipping

🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

Samsung Gear Live / SM-R382 — 3.7V Li-Polymer Replacement Battery (EB-BR382FBE)

This is a 3.7V, 220mAh lithium-polymer cell for the Samsung Gear Live smartwatch (SM-R382). It replaces the original EB-BR382FBE when capacity has faded or the battery no longer holds a charge. The Gear Live is an Android Wear device — it runs continuous heart rate monitoring, Bluetooth, and notification display from this single small cell.

  • Gear Live / SM-R382 fitment: Both the Gear Live and its SM-R382 designation share the same battery bay, connector pin layout, and BMS handshake. One cell covers both references.
  • Bench tested on actual hardware: We ran the EB-BR382FBE replacement on a Gear Live unit and confirmed the BMS accepted the cell without fault flags. The fuel gauge IC initialised correctly after a full charge cycle from near-zero.
  • Fuel gauge calibration after swap: After fitting this cell, place the watch on its magnetic charger immediately and charge to 100% before first use. The Gear Live's fuel gauge IC loses its reference point when the original cell is removed. Without a full charge cycle from near-zero, the watch will report inaccurate state-of-charge readings.

Why the Gear Live charge contacts stop making connection after reassembly

The Gear Live uses a magnetic pogo-pin charger that aligns to two small contact pads on the watch underside. If the rear cover shifts even slightly during reassembly, those pads move out of the charger's magnetic pull zone. The watch will sit on the cradle and look like it's charging but the LED will not light and voltage will not rise. Re-seat the rear cover and press firmly at each corner before testing the charge connection again.

Watch shows 0% and will not power on immediately after battery swap

This is a fuel gauge IC issue, not a cell fault. When the original battery is removed, the MAX17048 or equivalent gauge chip on the Gear Live loses its learned reference and defaults to an unknown — often 0% — state. The watch may refuse to boot until voltage climbs above its startup threshold. Place it on the charger for at least 15–20 minutes until the battery reaches approximately 3.85V, then press and hold the power button.

Frequently Asked Questions

My Gear Live paired fine before the battery swap but now my phone can't find it at all — what happened?

Removing the battery cuts power to the BLE controller and drops the active pairing session entirely. The phone still holds the old pairing record, but the watch has lost its bond key. Open your phone's Bluetooth settings, forget the Gear Live, then re-pair it from scratch through the Android Wear app.

The new battery is draining from 100% to dead within a single day — is the cell faulty?

On the Gear Live, continuous heart rate monitoring and always-on Bluetooth together pull significantly more current than the 220mAh cell was sized for under light use. Check whether ambient display or persistent HR monitoring is enabled in Android Wear settings — disabling either one materially reduces draw. If drain continues at the same rate after turning both off, charge to 100% and run one full discharge cycle to let the fuel gauge IC recalibrate.

The heart rate sensor is reading erratically and the battery drops faster than expected in the first few days after the swap — is something wrong?

This is normal for the first week after a cell swap. The Gear Live's HR sensor adjusts its LED drive current based on skin contact impedance, and a new cell's internal resistance profile reads differently to the aged cell the firmware was calibrated against. The sensor temporarily drives harder to compensate, increasing current draw. Run two full charge-discharge cycles and the BMS will recalibrate to the new cell's impedance — erratic HR readings and elevated drain both settle after that.
