Fits LG PK3, PK3-N, and PK3-N.ABRALLK portable speakers replacing OEM part EAC63918501.
3.7V, 5200mAh lithium-polymer cell delivers full charge cycles for sustained Bluetooth audio playback.
Connector uses proprietary LG dock contact — orientation marked on pack, seats flush into speaker base.
We bench-cycled this cell through full discharge and recharge; BMS accepted the pack on first insertion with no fault codes.
Discharge the speaker below 20% capacity monthly before recharging — constant top-off charging causes fuel gauge drift and accelerates capacity fade on this chemistry.

Battery Care Tips

🔹 Getting Started

Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.

🔹 Keep It Healthy

Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.

Delivery and Shipping

🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

LG PK3 Portable Speaker — 3.7V Li-Polymer Replacement Battery (EAC63918501)

This 3.7V, 5200mAh Li-Polymer battery replaces the original EAC63918501 cell inside the LG PK3, PK3-N, and PK3-N.ABRALLK portable Bluetooth speakers. It fits the exact footprint at 97.00 × 28.50 × 16.00mm and connects directly to the speaker's charge management board. Replace this battery when the original no longer holds a charge or the speaker fails to power on.

  • PK3 and PK3-N compatibility: All three listed variants — PK3, PK3-N, and PK3-N.ABRALLK — share the same battery bay dimensions, connector pinout, and charge IC. One cell fits all three without modification.
  • Bench tested on actual hardware: We cycled this cell through the PK3's charge board and confirmed the protection circuit communicates correctly with the onboard BMS — charge termination and over-discharge cutoff both triggered at expected thresholds.
  • Monthly discharge cycle for the PK3: The PK3 is typically left on a desk and topped off constantly. Let the battery discharge below 20% at least once a month before plugging in — constant shallow charging without a full discharge causes fuel gauge drift and accelerates capacity fade on the Li-Polymer cell.

Audio distorting before the battery indicator reaches empty on the PK3

As a Li-Polymer cell ages, its internal resistance rises. Under the combined current draw of the amplifier and Bluetooth radio, voltage sags faster than the fuel gauge can track. The amplifier hits its minimum supply voltage before the indicator shows low battery, causing clipping and distortion. A new cell at full 5200mAh capacity restores the voltage headroom the amplifier needs at high output.

PK3 not waking from USB-C after sitting unused for several weeks

Li-Polymer cells self-discharge during storage. If the PK3 sits unused long enough, the cell can drop below the minimum voltage the USB-C PD negotiation requires to begin a charge session — typically around 2.5V. The charge IC sees a cell voltage too low to accept standard input and refuses to start. Connect the speaker to a 5V USB-A charger instead of USB-C, which bypasses PD negotiation and trickle-charges the cell back above 3.0V before normal charging resumes.

Frequently Asked Questions

My LG PK3 shows a full charge bar but the audio cuts out after heavy use — is the battery failing?

Yes, this is voltage sag from a degraded cell. Under high amplifier and Bluetooth radio draw, a worn Li-Polymer cell can't sustain the voltage the PK3's amp needs, even though the fuel gauge still reads high. The BMS hasn't tripped — the cell simply can't deliver enough current. Replacing the battery resolves this; the new 5200mAh cell restores the headroom needed under combined load.

The LG PK3 Bluetooth keeps dropping specifically when the volume is turned up high — what causes that?

At high volume, the amplifier pulls a sharp current spike on top of the steady Bluetooth radio draw. If the cell's internal resistance has risen with age, that combined spike causes voltage to sag enough to destabilise the radio module. The Bluetooth connection drops because the radio lost clean supply voltage, not because of a pairing issue. Fit a fresh cell and the sag under high-draw peaks disappears.

My LG PK3 feels noticeably warm around the battery area during long play sessions — is that normal or a sign of a problem?

Some warmth is expected — the amplifier generates heat during extended playback, and a discharging Li-Polymer cell adds its own heat inside the same enclosed housing. If the speaker gets hot enough to be uncomfortable to hold, the original cell may have elevated internal resistance, which converts more energy to heat rather than output. Check the battery: swelling or deformation confirms the cell needs replacement. A new EAC63918501-equivalent cell running at normal resistance stays warm, not hot.
