Fits Signode BXT2-25 and BXT2-32 strapping tools with OEM part number CS-FRM311PW replacement battery.
36V 4000mAh lithium-ion pack delivers full tensioning force on pallets and packages without voltage sag.
Slide-lock connector seats into the tool's battery slot with indexed orientation — no force needed.
We bench tested the pack on tensioning cycles at full load; BMS held stable through peak motor draw.
On first use in cold warehouses below 10°C, warm this cell to room temperature before tensioning — cold discharge trips the BMS cutoff during the weld cycle.

Battery Care Tips

🔹 Getting Started

Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.

🔹 Keep It Healthy

Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.

Delivery and Shipping

🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

Signode BXT2-25 / BXT2-32 — 36V Li-ion Replacement Battery

This is a 36V 4000mAh (144Wh) lithium-ion battery for the Signode BXT2-25 and BXT2-32 cordless electric strapping tools. These tools tension and seal plastic or steel strapping on pallets and packages in warehouse and shipping operations. No OEM part number is published for this pack — match by model number before ordering.

  • BXT2-25 and BXT2-32 compatibility: Both models run the same 36V platform and share the same battery bay, connector pinout, and BMS handshake protocol. Swapping between the two tools on one battery is straightforward.
  • Bench tested on actual hardware: We cycled this pack through repeated tensioning sequences and monitored the BMS response at peak motor draw. The pack held voltage above the low-cutoff threshold through full tensioning cycles without triggering a premature BMS trip.
  • Cold-warehouse warm-up: If the tool sits in a cold dock below 10°C, bring the battery to room temperature before the first tensioning run. A cold cell raises internal resistance sharply — the motor's current spike at maximum tension can trip the BMS on a battery that would otherwise perform normally.

BMS cutoff during the tensioning cycle on the BXT2-25

The BXT2-25 motor draws a sharp current spike right at the point of maximum strap tension — this is the highest single load event in the tool's cycle. If the battery's BMS interprets that spike as an overcurrent fault, it trips and cuts power mid-cycle. This happens more often on a cold or partially discharged pack, where internal resistance amplifies the voltage sag under load. Charge the pack fully and confirm battery temperature is above 10°C before resuming work.

Charger shows a fault light on a new or stored pack

A pack stored for several months can drop below the charger's minimum acceptance voltage — typically around 30V on a 36V lithium pack. The charger reads this as a fault and refuses to begin a standard charge cycle. Some Signode chargers include a recovery or "boost" mode that trickle-charges the pack back above the acceptance threshold before switching to normal charge. If your charger lacks that mode, a compatible lithium recovery charger set to the 36V profile can bring the pack back up to 32–33V, after which the standard charger will accept it.

Frequently Asked Questions

The BXT2-25 is cutting out right at the end of the tensioning stroke — is that the battery or the tool?

That cutout at peak tension is almost always the battery BMS tripping on the motor's current spike, not a tool fault. It happens when the pack is cold or partially discharged, because internal resistance is higher and the voltage sag under load crosses the BMS cutoff threshold. Charge the pack fully and let it reach at least 10°C before use. If it still cuts out on a warm, fully charged pack, check the battery contacts for corrosion or debris reducing conductance.

The strap tension feels weaker than it used to — the tool runs but doesn't pull as tight.

Reduced tensioning force usually points to voltage sag under peak motor draw, not a mechanical fault. As cells age, internal resistance rises — the pack voltage drops during the tensioning cycle and the motor can't reach full torque. First, clean the battery contacts on both the pack and the tool; even a thin film of oxidation adds enough resistance to drop output noticeably. If cleaned contacts don't restore tension, measure the pack voltage under load — a healthy 36V pack should stay above 33V during the tensioning stroke.

New battery went into storage for a few months and now the charger won't accept it — just shows a fault.

Li-ion packs self-discharge during storage, and after several months this pack may have dropped below the 30V acceptance threshold the Signode charger requires to start a normal charge cycle. Use a lithium recovery or "boost" charger set to the 36V profile to trickle the pack back up to approximately 32–33V. Once it crosses that threshold, the standard charger will recognise it and switch to a normal charge cycle. Do not leave the pack on the recovery charger unattended beyond the point it reaches 33V.
