Sale priceFrom $43.99 USD Regular price $54.99
Shipping calculated at checkout.
Fits 3GO GT7002 and Geotab 7 tablets; replaces OEM part PT406080.
3.7V and 2500mAh capacity restores full charge cycles on tablets showing rapid drain.
Connector seats flush against the battery slot with no locking tab interference required.
We bench-tested the cell through five full cycles; the BMS accepted charge negotiation without fault codes.
After installation, run one complete discharge to automatic shutoff then charge uninterrupted to 100% — this resets the fuel gauge IC calibration and eliminates the inaccurate percentage display that follows a battery swap.

Battery Care Tips

🔹 Getting Started

Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.

🔹 Keep It Healthy

Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.

Delivery and Shipping

🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

3GO GT7002 / Geotab 7 — 3.7V Li-Polymer Replacement Battery (PT406080)

This is a 3.7V, 2500mAh Li-Polymer battery for the 3GO GT7002 and Geotab 7 tablets. It replaces OEM part number PT406080. If your tablet no longer holds a charge or drops off unexpectedly, this cell restores normal operation.

  • GT7002 and Geotab 7 compatibility: Both tablets share the same battery bay dimensions and connector pinout, drawing from a single 3.7V cell with the same BMS handshake. One part number covers both units without modification.
  • Bench tested on actual hardware: We cycled this cell through charge and discharge on a GT7002 unit. The BMS accepted the new cell on first connection, charge IC engaged without fault codes, and voltage held steady under combined Wi-Fi and display load.
  • Fuel gauge recalibration after swap: After installing this battery, run one full discharge to automatic shutoff, then charge uninterrupted to 100%. This resets the fuel gauge IC against the new cell and corrects the inaccurate percentage readings that commonly appear right after a battery swap.

GT7002 shutting down at 15–25% battery remaining

The GT7002 pulls hardest when the display is at full brightness and Wi-Fi is actively scanning or streaming. At around 15–25% state of charge, cell voltage drops sharply under that combined load — the BMS hits its low-voltage cutoff before the OS gauge reads zero. The old cell makes this worse as internal resistance rises with age. A new cell with lower internal resistance holds voltage further into discharge, so the cutoff threshold is reached much later in the cycle.

Fast charging not available after fitting the new battery

Some GT7002 units lose fast-charge capability after a battery swap because the charge IC needs one completed charge cycle to re-negotiate the charging profile with the new cell. Plug in using the original charger and cable — third-party cables often limit negotiation. Let the tablet charge uninterrupted from below 10% to 100%. After that cycle completes, fast charging typically resumes at the expected input rate.

Frequently Asked Questions

My 3GO GT7002 says 60% battery but shuts off immediately — is the new battery faulty?

The battery is not faulty. The fuel gauge IC in the GT7002 is still calibrated to your old cell's discharge curve, so the percentage reading is meaningless until it resets. Run the tablet down to automatic shutoff, then charge it uninterrupted to 100% without unplugging. After that one full cycle, the gauge IC recalibrates against the new cell and the percentage display becomes accurate.

The GT7002 gets warm during charging after I installed this battery — should I be worried?

Mild warmth during charging is normal when a charge IC first works with a new Li-Polymer cell. The charge controller runs a conditioning phase on the first few cycles, which generates slightly more heat than steady-state charging on a broken-in cell. If the tablet becomes too hot to hold or charging stops before 100%, that points to a different issue — check that the charging port and cable are clean and making solid contact.

My GT7002 battery percentage is dropping much faster than expected right after a full charge — what's happening?

This is fuel gauge drift, not a cell defect. The GT7002's battery management system tracked your old cell's capacity over time and still applies that profile to the new one. The reading appears to fall quickly from 100% because the IC's internal model doesn't yet match the new cell's actual capacity. Do one complete discharge to automatic shutoff followed by an uninterrupted charge to 100%, and the gauge will re-anchor to the correct 2500mAh baseline.
