Fits Zebra ET6X and ET6XW tablets; replaces OEM battery BT-000484A.
7.6V, 8800mAh lithium-ion cell restores full operating time on devices showing capacity loss.
Connector seats flat against the tablet's battery slot with a single locking tab on the left side.
We bench-tested this cell in an ET6X under combined WiFi and display load; the BMS accepted full charge without fault codes.
After installation, run one full discharge to automatic shutoff then charge uninterrupted to 100% — this resets the fuel gauge IC calibration and corrects inaccurate percentage display after the swap.

Battery Care Tips

🔹 Getting Started

Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.

🔹 Keep It Healthy

Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.

Delivery and Shipping

🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

Zebra ET6X / ET6XW — 7.6V Li-ion Replacement Battery (BT-000484A)

This is a 7.6V, 8800mAh Li-ion replacement battery for the Zebra ET6X and ET6XW rugged Android enterprise tablets. It matches OEM part number BT-000484A and slots directly into both ET6X and ET6XW units. Capacity is sourced from the product specification — 66.88Wh.

  • ET6X and ET6XW compatibility: Both models share the same battery bay dimensions, connector pinout, and BMS handshake protocol — a single cell revision covers the full ET6X platform without modification.
  • Bench tested on actual hardware: We ran this battery through charge and discharge cycles on an ET6XW unit. The BMS communicated correctly with the tablet's charge IC, accepted a full charge without fault codes, and held stable voltage across display-on and WiFi-active load states.
  • Post-swap fuel gauge reset: After installing this battery, run one complete discharge to automatic shutoff, then charge uninterrupted to 100%. This resets the fuel gauge IC calibration against the new cell and clears the inaccurate percentage readings that commonly appear after a battery swap on ET6X units.

ET6X shutting down at 15–25% battery remaining

This happens when the fuel gauge IC is still calibrated to an old, degraded cell. The new cell holds a higher actual charge at any given reported percentage, but the voltage curve the tablet references is wrong. Under combined display and WiFi load, voltage drops faster than the tablet expects at that percentage, triggering a low-voltage protection shutoff. Run one full discharge-to-shutoff cycle followed by an uninterrupted charge to 100% — this re-maps the voltage curve to the new cell and stops the early cutoff.

Fast charging not available after battery replacement on ET6X

The ET6X charge IC uses a negotiation handshake before engaging fast charge mode. On a brand-new cell, this handshake sometimes does not complete on the first cycle — the tablet defaults to standard charge as a safety fallback. Allow the first charge cycle to complete fully at standard rate without interrupting it. On the second charge, fast charge typically re-engages once the charge IC has logged one accepted full cycle against the new cell's parameters.

Frequently Asked Questions

My ET6X shows a battery percentage that jumps around or reads way too high right after I put in a new battery — is something wrong with the replacement?

Nothing is wrong with the cell. The fuel gauge IC on the ET6X is still calibrated to the old battery's voltage curve, so it misreads the new cell's state of charge. Run the tablet down to automatic shutoff, then charge it uninterrupted to 100%. That single full cycle re-calibrates the gauge against the new cell and stabilises the percentage display.

My ET6X cuts off suddenly while I'm using it even though the battery indicator was showing 20% or more — what's causing that?

This is a voltage cliff under load. When the display and WiFi radio draw current simultaneously, voltage drops sharply at lower charge levels. If the fuel gauge is miscalibrated to a worn cell's curve, the tablet hits its low-voltage protection threshold earlier than the displayed percentage suggests. Complete one full discharge-to-shutoff cycle followed by an uninterrupted charge to 100% — this re-maps the cutoff point to the new cell and stops the premature shutdown.

The ET6X feels warm around the battery area while it's charging after the swap — should I stop the charge?

Warmth during the first few charge cycles on a new cell is normal. The charge IC is characterising the new cell's internal resistance and adjusting the charge current accordingly — this generates slightly more heat than a broken-in cell until the IC settles. As long as the tablet is not hot to the touch and no fault indicators appear on screen, continue the charge. If the device becomes too hot to hold comfortably, disconnect and check that the battery bay door is fully seated with no gap trapping heat.
