Battery Care Tips
Battery Care Tips
🔹 Getting Started
Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.
🔹 Keep It Healthy
Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.
Delivery and Shipping
Delivery and Shipping
🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

Alcatel One Touch EVO 7 — 3.7V Li-Polymer Replacement Battery (CAB4160000C1)
This 3.7V, 4150mAh lithium-polymer battery replaces the original cell in the Alcatel One Touch EVO 7 tablet, including variants listed as T70-2AALDE1 and OT-T70. It matches the OEM voltage, capacity, and connector layout of the stock unit. When the original cell swells, fails to charge, or drops off quickly under load, this is the direct cell swap.
- One Touch EVO 7 and OT-T70 compatibility: The T70-2AALDE1 and OT-T70 share the same battery bay dimensions and connector pinout as the standard EVO 7. All three models use the same 3.7V charge profile and BMS handshake, so one cell fits across the range without modification.
- Bench tested on actual hardware: We ran this cell through the EVO 7 charge IC and confirmed the BMS accepted the full charge cycle without fault codes. Voltage at delivery measured within 3.7V nominal range, and the protection circuit responded correctly to simulated over-discharge conditions.
- Fuel gauge reset after installation: After fitting this cell, run the tablet down to automatic shutoff, then charge it uninterrupted to 100% without using the device. This gives the fuel gauge IC a full sweep to calibrate against the new cell and clears the inaccurate percentage readings that typically appear in the first few cycles post-swap.
Why the EVO 7 shuts down at 15–25% battery remaining
The EVO 7 runs its display backlight and WiFi radio simultaneously under normal use. That combined load pulls more current than the processor alone, and an aged or freshly swapped cell hits a voltage floor earlier than the fuel gauge expects. The system reads enough percentage left but the actual cell voltage drops below the BMS cutoff threshold under that peak draw. After the recalibration cycle described above, the shutoff point typically shifts back down to 3–5%.
EVO 7 battery percentage jumping or reading 0% immediately after swap
The fuel gauge IC in the EVO 7 stores capacity data calibrated to the old cell. When a new cell goes in, the IC has no valid reference point and can report wildly off percentages — including instant 0% or a stuck reading. This is not a fault with the replacement cell. Run one full discharge to automatic shutoff, then charge to 100% without interruption. After that single cycle the gauge IC recalibrates and percentage accuracy returns to normal.

Frequently Asked Questions
My EVO 7 shows 20% battery and then just dies with no warning — is the new battery faulty?
It is not faulty. The fuel gauge IC calibrated itself against your old degraded cell, so its low-voltage cutoff point is off for the new one. Under combined display and WiFi load, the cell voltage dips below the BMS floor before the percentage counter catches up. Run one full discharge to automatic shutoff, then charge uninterrupted to 100%. After that cycle the shutoff point drops back to the normal 3–5% range.
Fast charging stopped working after I replaced the battery in my EVO 7 — it only slow charges now.
The charge IC needs at least one complete accepted charge cycle before it negotiates the faster charge rate with a new cell. Plug the tablet in and let it charge from near-empty to 100% without interrupting it. After that first full cycle, disconnect and reconnect the charger — the IC should resume normal charge rate negotiation. If it still slow charges after two full cycles, confirm you are using the original OEM charger, as third-party adapters often do not send the correct voltage handshake.
The EVO 7 percentage keeps dropping faster than expected from 100% even though the battery is new.
This is fuel gauge drift — the IC is still reading against old cell data stored in firmware and over-reporting consumption in the top portion of the charge curve. The new cell itself is not draining faster; the reported number is inaccurate. Do one full discharge to automatic shutoff followed by an uninterrupted charge to 100%. That single calibration cycle resets the IC's reference points and the drop rate from 100% normalises within the next one or two charges.
