This is a 3.7V, 6760mAh Li-Polymer replacement battery for the Asus VivoTab TF600TL 10.1-inch Windows tablet. It carries OEM part number C21-TF600T and fits the TF600TL directly. Install it when the original cell no longer holds a charge or causes unexpected shutdowns during normal use.

  • TF600TL platform fit: The TF600TL uses a slim 4.04mm cell profile specific to its chassis. This replacement matches that physical envelope and the C21-TF600T connector pinout, so the charge IC on the motherboard communicates with the battery management system without modification.
  • Bench tested on actual hardware: We cycled this cell through charge and discharge on the TF600TL platform. The BMS reported state-of-charge correctly after one full calibration cycle, and the charge IC accepted the cell without triggering a fault state.

Why the TF600TL shuts down at 15–25% remaining after a battery swap

The TF600TL's fuel gauge IC stores a discharge curve calibrated to the old cell. A new cell with different internal resistance shifts the voltage-to-capacity relationship, so the IC hits its low-voltage cutoff threshold earlier than the displayed percentage suggests. Under combined screen and Wi-Fi load, the voltage sags faster than the gauge expects, triggering an emergency shutoff. Running one full discharge-to-cutoff cycle followed by an uninterrupted charge to 100% resets the reference curve. After that cycle, the shutoff threshold aligns with the actual remaining capacity.

This happens because the fuel gauge IC has no valid state-of-charge data for the new cell — it defaults to a floor value or freezes at whatever it last recorded. It is not a fault with the battery. The fix is one complete cycle: discharge the tablet to automatic shutoff, then charge continuously to 100% without interrupting the session. The gauge IC writes a new calibration map during that charge phase. After the cycle completes, the percentage will track normally from 100% down.

Until that first full cycle completes, the controller may default to a conservative charge profile. Charge the tablet from near-zero to 100% in one uninterrupted session.
