Fits DT Research tablets requiring ACC-006-524N replacement battery.
Delivers 10.8V at 2600mAh capacity for sustained mobile computing and data access.
Connector aligns with factory slot; locking tab seats flush against tablet frame.
We tested the pack on a DT Research unit — BMS accepted charge without fault codes.
After installation, run one full discharge to automatic shutoff then charge uninterrupted to 100% — this resets the fuel gauge IC calibration against the new cell and resolves inaccurate percentage display that appears after a swap.

Battery Care Tips

🔹 Getting Started

Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.

🔹 Keep It Healthy

Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.

Delivery and Shipping

🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

DT Research ACC-006-524N — 10.8V Li-ion Replacement Battery

This 10.8V, 2600mAh lithium-ion battery replaces the OEM unit in DT Research tablet computers using part number ACC-006-524N. It restores full power capacity to tablets where the original cell has degraded or failed. Voltage and capacity match the original spec exactly — no modifications needed during installation.

  • ACC-006-524N platform fit: DT Research tablets using this part number share a common voltage rail at 10.8V and a three-cell series configuration. The BMS connector pinout and charge termination voltage align directly with the original hardware, so the tablet's charge IC negotiates normally without firmware intervention.
  • Bench tested on actual hardware: We ran this battery through charge and discharge cycles on a DT Research tablet platform. The BMS engaged correctly at both low-voltage cutoff and full-charge termination, and the fuel gauge IC picked up the new cell without error flags on the OS side.
  • Fuel gauge recalibration after swap: After installing this battery, run it down to automatic shutoff once, then charge uninterrupted to 100%. This single full cycle resets the fuel gauge IC calibration against the new cell and clears the inaccurate percentage readings that commonly appear immediately after a battery swap.

Tablet shutting down at 15–25% remaining after battery replacement

This happens because the fuel gauge IC is still calibrated to the old cell's discharge curve. When the display backlight and Wi-Fi radio draw current simultaneously, voltage sags faster than the gauge predicts, triggering a protective shutdown before the reported percentage reaches zero. The fix is one complete discharge-to-shutoff cycle followed by an uninterrupted charge to 100%. After that cycle, the gauge maps the new cell's actual voltage cliff and the premature shutdowns stop.

Fast charging not available after swapping in the new battery

The tablet's charge IC uses a handshake with the battery BMS to confirm cell condition before allowing higher charge rates. On a freshly installed cell, this handshake sometimes defaults to standard rate until one full accepted charge cycle completes. Plug the tablet into its original charger and let it reach 100% without interruption. After that first complete cycle, the charge IC re-evaluates and fast charge becomes available again — check the charging indicator in the OS to confirm the higher rate is active.

Frequently Asked Questions

My DT Research tablet is showing 60% battery but it just shut off completely — is the new battery faulty?

The battery itself is not faulty. The fuel gauge IC was calibrated to the old cell's discharge curve and doesn't yet know where the new cell's actual voltage floor sits. Under combined screen and Wi-Fi load, voltage dips below the cutoff threshold before the percentage reaches zero. Run one full discharge to automatic shutoff, then charge uninterrupted to 100% — the gauge recalibrates against the new cell and the sudden shutdowns stop.

The battery percentage on my DT Research tablet is jumping around — it read 80%, then 95%, then 72% within a few minutes of installing the new battery.

That's fuel gauge drift — the IC that tracks charge level was tuned to the old cell's impedance and capacity profile. With a new cell installed, its reference points are off, so percentage readings oscillate instead of tracking steadily. One complete discharge-to-shutoff followed by a full uninterrupted charge to 100% gives the IC a clean dataset to work from. After that single calibration cycle, percentage tracking stabilises.

Fast charging worked fine before I replaced the battery, but now my DT Research tablet only charges slowly — what changed?

The tablet's charge IC runs a BMS handshake before it allows elevated charge rates. On a new cell, this handshake defaults conservative until one full charge cycle completes and the IC logs an accepted result. Use the original charger and let the tablet charge from near zero to 100% without unplugging it mid-way. Once that first complete cycle finishes, reconnect the charger and check the OS charging indicator — it should show the faster rate is active again.
