Fits Samsung Galaxy Tab A9+ 5G 11 models SM-X210 and SM-X216, replacing OEM part WT-S-W11.
3.85V, 6800mAh Li-Polymer cell restores full charge capacity to the display, processor, and 5G modem.
Connector attaches to the internal battery contact block with a single locking tab; physical fit confirmed against OEM housing dimensions.
We bench-tested the BMS through five full discharge cycles; the fuel gauge IC initialized correctly and held voltage regulation under combined WiFi and display load.
After installation, run one complete discharge to automatic shutoff then charge uninterrupted to 100% — this resets the fuel gauge calibration against the new cell and corrects percentage display errors that appear after the swap.

Battery Care Tips

🔹 Getting Started

Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.

🔹 Keep It Healthy

Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.

Delivery and Shipping

🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

Samsung Galaxy Tab A9+ 5G — 3.85V Li-Polymer Replacement Battery (WT-S-W11)

This is a 3.85V, 6800mAh Li-Polymer battery for the Samsung Galaxy Tab A9+ 5G 11-inch tablet. It fits the SM-X210, SM-X210NZAEXAR, SM-X216, and related variants. Install this when the original cell no longer holds a charge or causes unexpected shutdowns.

  • SM-X210 and SM-X216 series compatibility: These models share the same battery bay dimensions, connector pinout, and BMS handshake protocol. The WT-S-W11 cell meets the voltage rail and charge IC requirements across all listed variants without hardware modification.
  • Bench tested on actual hardware: We cycled this cell through full charge and discharge on an SM-X210 unit. The BMS accepted charge immediately, reported state-of-charge correctly after one calibration cycle, and held the voltage curve within spec through sustained display and Wi-Fi load.
  • Post-installation fuel gauge reset: After fitting this battery, run the tablet down to automatic shutoff, then charge uninterrupted to 100%. The Tab A9+ fuel gauge IC calibrates against the new cell during this first full cycle — skipping it causes the percentage display to read inaccurately for days.

Why the Tab A9+ shuts down at 15–25% remaining after a battery swap

The SM-X210 draws combined load from the AMOLED display, Wi-Fi radio, and processor simultaneously. Under that load, a newly installed cell with an uncalibrated fuel gauge hits a voltage cliff — the BMS reads the remaining capacity as zero and triggers a protective shutdown before the percentage counter reaches zero. The old cell's discharge curve is stored in the fuel gauge IC, and the new cell doesn't match it yet. One full discharge-to-shutoff cycle followed by a complete charge corrects the stored curve and eliminates these early shutdowns.

Fast charging unavailable on the Tab A9+ after battery replacement

The Tab A9+ uses USB Power Delivery negotiation to enable fast charge — the charge IC on the new cell must complete at least one accepted charge cycle before the tablet's firmware confirms fast charge capability. Plug into a USB-PD charger rated at 15W or higher and allow the first charge to complete fully without interruption. If fast charge still doesn't activate, check that the charger is negotiating at 9V or above — a 5V-only charger will not trigger the fast charge handshake regardless of battery condition.

Frequently Asked Questions

My Tab A9+ battery percentage jumps around after I replaced the battery — it went from 60% straight to 30% without warning. What's wrong?

The fuel gauge IC in the SM-X210 is calibrated to the discharge curve of the original cell — your replacement cell has a slightly different curve, so the percentage readings are off. Run the tablet down to automatic shutoff, then charge uninterrupted to 100% without using the device. That single full cycle recalibrates the fuel gauge against the new cell. After that, percentage readings stabilise and the sudden drops stop.

My Tab A9+ is getting noticeably warm near the top edge while charging the new battery — is that normal?

The charge IC on a new Li-Polymer cell generates slightly more heat during the first few charge cycles than a broken-in cell does, because the internal resistance is at its highest when new. Warmth near the top edge — where the charge IC sits on the SM-X210 board — is expected for the first two or three charges. If the tablet becomes hot to the touch or the charger disconnects on its own, remove the charger and check that you're using a USB-PD charger within the 15W rated input for this tablet.

The battery percentage on my Tab A9+ drops faster from 100% to around 80% than it does through the rest of the charge — is the new battery defective?

This is fuel gauge drift, not a defective cell. The SM-X210 reports the top of the charge curve loosely until the fuel gauge IC has mapped the new cell's full capacity. The drop looks steep because the percentage counter is compressing the top section of the curve based on the old cell's data. Run one complete cycle — discharge to shutoff, then charge to 100% — and the gauge redistributes the percentage steps evenly across the full capacity range.
